Janniere had a visa issue? You need a visa to be on trial?

It's possible that he was over there long enough for the Visa to become an issue. If I'm not mistaken, you can only be somewhere for a certain amount of time before complications arise. Could be wrong, but that's my best bet.

^it's 6 months before a visa is needed. I was being facetious with my last post.

I don't know the rules but it is quite possible that you do need some sort of visa for a trial. It is not exactly a tourist situation and I am sure whatever the rules are the clubs would want to do everything legally by the book.

Update at FC Memmingen:

Poletto was mostly a sub in the beginning with the 2nd team but then became a starter. He has won his place in the 2nd team. Now let's hope he will be good enough to get a shot with the 1st team this year or next.

Marco Groeschel, who started the season with Unterhaching U19, got called up to Unterhaching II and played 8 games with them in the Bayernliga South(5th tier). He just signed with FC Memmingen in December. He is listed as being in the 1st team on Memmingen's site so hopefully he will get minutes with them in the 4th tier. He is 18 and Poletto also, soon turning 19.

Apparently, an 18-year old Canadian from Toronto, but born in Moscow, will be on trial with Kladno (3rd tier) in the Czech Republic. Not that long ago Kladno were a 1st division team.

The article doesn't mention his name though. The coach said the player was quite good for his age.

Does this automatically put him back on the radar for a CMNT call for our next European friendly? Or do we have to wait and see how he does considering the low level?

Wait and see how he does. However if he proves to be a league 1 regular next season, sure, he's on the radar for sure.

Looks like Issey has been transferred to Alki Larnaca, from AEK Larnaca. Alki seem to be in a relegation battle, but hopefully this means that he will at least get more playing time. Still, another unfortunate downward move for a NT player.

Ricketts has signed with Sandnes Ulf of the Tippeligaen: http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/tosaint-ricketts/transfers/spieler_94579.html

And, confirmed on his Twitter.

They avoided relegation this year in a play-off vs. a 1st division club. They had been promoted the previous year, so it's not exactly a powerhouse Tippeligaen club by any stretch! Hopefully he'll be a clear starter though.

Good, could be a chance for a lot of minutes.
