masster
Have it on the very best authority that the Whitecaps are in discussion with several potential high profile players including strikers, having cast their net fairly wide. Only Keane and Savage have spoken out publicly actually referring to the club by name even though the discussions were supposed to have been confidential. They cast a wide net but are they going to catch any fish? I'm starting to get a little nervous. With training camp opening on Monday, a DP signing would do a lot to increase media attention. JimmyJames
I still Robbie Keane would be a great fit for the MLS, Even if Spurs loaned him out to the Whitecaps for the season....(but 75K in pounds a week is a rather large salary to cover)
nolando
Savage isn't coming either: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/d/derby_county/9359949.stm Savage, 36, would have needed to leave for Canada before the English season ends, perhaps as early as March. Instead, he says will complete his Rams contract until the end of this season before finding another club in August - or working in the media full time. "I'm going to stay here," he said on Twitter. "Canada was a great option but it was too big a move for my family."

Thank God, Caps can do a lot better than Savage, Pardo would be a vast improvement for a Holding Midfielder over Robbie, and would replace Nash's work ethic. Gof Aftn
I really don't care if we go with DP's or not. If we do, I'd rather we went with ones that had at least 3 good years left in them, preferably more. We need strikers. Proven goalscorers. If they're DP's great. Just add some! JimmyJames
Every Team in the MLS is looking for Strikers....every team in Europe for the matter....
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Shocking rumour, Sounders are after Diego Forlan. Someone linked Forlan to the MLS here a long time ago sorta jokingly, it would be a huge move for the MLS, to land Forlan. http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/kick-forlan-linked-seattle-barthez-news Seems a little far-fetched, but Forlan is the type of player I can see moving on a weird deal to an obscure league for loads of money. Not that he couldn't still be one of the most complete strikers in the game in the UEFA region, but he has accomplished nearly everything he can over there. Maybe Becks can talk his former teammate into making the move.
