Result of the Sunday June 13th, 2010 W-League game between Toronto Lady Lynx and Rochester Ravens played at Centennial Stadium at 4:00pm.

74 min...Lady Lynx Tiffany Cameron GOAL...TLL Bryanna McCarthy cross from 20 yards on the left has Cameron shoot 8 yard shot from the right into left corner of net just inside post with goalie Allie Weisner guarding center of net.

Final Score:.......Toronto Lady Lynx......1..........Rochester Ravens..........0.............

Attendance was about 125 on this warm, humid, overcast afternoon.

Lady Lynx had great chances throughout the game but couldn't put the game away. At 18 minutes, Bryanna McCarthy sent in a cross from near the left cornerflag after a run down the wing and Kodee Williams with a defender shadowing her headed the ball from just 3 yards off the right post wide of goal. At 29 minutes Clare Rustad blasted a 20 yard freekick up the middle off the bar and the ball deflected high and back to her for her to take a midair shot from 22 yards that sailed over the bar. At 36 minutes McCarthy shielded the ball and turned and gave a pass from 15 yards to Williams who missed the ball at 4 yards in front of the net and the ball rolled for a goalkick. At 44 minutes McCarthy bashed up the middle holding off four players on her run and her low 15 yard shot was smothered by Ravens goalie Allie Weisner who had a strong game. At 60 minutes substitute forward Carmelina Puopolo cut around a defender and took a 20 yard shot from the right that hit the right post and deflected wide. Just one minute before their only goal, Allysha Chapman rushed through four defender and her 18 yard shot had defender Beth Allport make a stop on the line and the ball deflect back into the goalie's arms at 6 yards.

This was the second time these teams have met for a Toronto home game in the last three weeks. Their first 'home' game was in Oshawa and ended in a 1-1 tie with the Ravens scoring in the 94th minute. Ravens pressed but couldn't get far enough to goal in the last half to get anything closer than 30 yard shots against goalie Justine Bernier who earned the shutout for the Lady Lynx. Lady Lynx defenders Olivia Mbala, Lexi Marton, Rachel Mehodo and Vanessa Salerno limited the Ravens in the first half. Head coach Danny Stewart mixed things up in the second half trying to get the offence to put something in the net by changing the backline to Marton, bringing back forwards Bryanna McCarthy and Christine Exeter and eventually bringing on Kayla Afonso,

Ravens had only Eileen Coyle up front until Amanda Sudore took her place at 52 minutes. They had only brought three subs and one of them was a backup goalie. Another few players would have eased how tired some players got in the second half onslaught. Lady Lynx brought in six subs during the second half (including four right at halftime) while the Ravens brought in two.

Referee Jeff Fernall only gave out one Yellow card this game and that was to the Lady Lynx second half forward Giseele Mangal at 67 minutes for poking her foot at the body of the diving Ravens goalie. The goalie was hurt worse at 13 minutes when she and defender Beth Allport crash together when trying to squash Bryanna McCarthy on the edge of the box.

This was the first win for the Lady Lynx this season after ties with the Ravens and Quebec Amirals. All games so far have been played at home but they finally have a road game--midweek against Hamilton before coming back next Sunday at 5:00pm at Centennial Stadium against Laval.
