DJT
Guidelines for this thread In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for April 9-15, 2010. If you find updates posted in some other thread or on the other Voyageurs forum then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. gator
I'm not sure why Hume wasn't in the Barnsley squad, he scored a couple of goals in his last match, maybe he's injured? I read the match report and it seems Edgar had a quiet game for Swansea, his name is barely mentioned! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_div_1/8607341.stm
Guest ren989
Adam Straith played 90 minutes in a 4-2 win for Energie Cottbus in Bundesliga 2. He seems to be a mainstay at RB for the team.

JoeSoccerFan
^Johnson's goal was a gorgeous diving header! On the other hand, Jakovic definitely fouled Moreno on the red card. Not sure that Moreno didn't embellish it, but Jakovic shouldn't be giving away that kind of foul.
loyola
^Johnson's goal was a gorgeous diving header! Just saw the highlights of the goal, superb run by Will from the top of the box and a nice diving header, great goal!!!

Not sure that Moreno didn't embellish it, but Jakovic shouldn't be giving away that kind of foul. Jakovic is probably my favourite Canadian player at the moment. Really hope that he doesn't turn into an undisciplined, wild Serioux-type player.

VPjr
In the Czech 5th division, Kliment played 90 minutes for Bohemians Strizkov Praha "B" in a 3-1 loss against SK Artima Praha. now that it looks likely that Bohemians Praha will be relegated, I wonder if Kliment might be in line to see some 1st team action next season for the club. nolando
Issey scored as his Horsens lost 3-2 to Roskilde. Here is a rough translation of one fan's opinion of Issey after the match: Issey - Yeah nice he scored, but he just stood still as the ball becomes box into him and goes in goal behind, lose too many easy balls, must always make it harder than it is by trying to be an ingenious blend at the wrong time as no one is ready or he does not have any before him to chase them instead of just playing the wide and easy so we can maintain the attack which is important against a bundhold, I was impressed when we got him sign then, but he has only disappointed ever since. http://www.acsupport.dk/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=26&func=view&id=36084&catid=2&limit=6&limitstart=48 ..and another, "As for Issey, he may fast, but he is pretty bad with the ball - he always just dribbles (into?) an opponent more - and is even worse at delivering at the right time."
