DJT
Guidelines for this thread In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for March 5-11, 2010. If you find updates posted in some other thread or on the other Voyageurs forum then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. SCF08
Marcel de Jong plays 90 minutes for Roda JC in a 2-4 home loss against Feyenoord. Marcel had a very difficult afternoon against Georginio Wijnaldum and was lucky to not be sent off in the last minute after he tripped Wijnaldum as the last defender. George_
I just realized that Daniel Fernandes is back in the Greek SL. He is on loan to Iraklis Thessaloniki. They currently sit in 9th place. I watched Dani play against Olympiakos today. He had a very sharp game. He made a few great point blanks saves to earn a 1-0 victory
Unnamed Trialist
I just realized that Daniel Fernandes is back in the Greek SL. He is on loan to Iraklis Thessaloniki. They currently sit in 9th place. I watched Dani play against Olympiakos today. He had a very sharp game. He made a few great point blanks saves to earn a 1-0 victory Since he's there they have three wins, three draws, no losses, two goals against in 6 matches. When he arrived they were close to relegation spots, now pushing into midtable. He made the move thinking it was his way to get playing time and get noticed for the World Cup by Portugal, which may work. His bets are still for them and that makes yours and mine in the wrong thread.

nolando
It's almost not worth mentioning but Edgar's nightmare season continues as he can't even get on the bench today, even during his side's freefall to second from bottom of the table. Disappointing doesn't begin to describe it. Burnley: Jensen, Mears, Carlisle, Cort, Fox, Paterson, Alexander, Cork, Eagles, Nugent, Thompson. Subs: Weaver, Duff, McDonald, Elliott, Blake, Bikey, Jordan. Stoke: Sorensen, Wilkinson, Huth, Abdoulaye Faye, Collins, Lawrence, Whitehead, Delap, Etherington, Sanli, Sidibe. Subs: Begovic, Kitson, Pugh, Amdy Faye, Davies, Lund, Moult. Referee: Howard Webb (S Yorkshire)

masster
Gaudet came on in the 89th minute as Portland beat Seattle 1-0 in a preseason friendly. Portland also got Alex Nimo back on loan from RSL which means more competition for Gaudet in midfield. http://www.portlandtimbers.com/newsroom/headlines/index.html?article_id=1560
