jpg75
Is Adrian Cann TFC's Next backup CB? Sure, why not.
nolando
^ Agreed. Cann is a downgrade from even an oft-injured Serioux at CB. However, he can play a bit of midfield too, IIRC, so he might be a nice bit player to have around, like a Pozniak, for instance. Just don't expect too much. TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Cann = Harmse 2.0 Which to be honest isn't a bad thing for TFC at this point. All it does is gives TFC a utility player that can distribute the ball. He is better than Pozniak, Garcia, Herold and Gomez(at this point in his Career). Also may be lesser to Serioux, but is cheaper more consistent and will bring more to the pitch on a everyday basis than Serioux would have. This will push Garcia farther down on the depth chart as well and I'm all for that.
nolando
^^ methinks someone is overvaluing Cann AND Harmse, but that's just one man's opinion

Definitely not a week in, week out starter, but played a good role as a rotational player.

I think they have value it's not huge, but in a cap league with roster restrictions you need a guy like them. Hard working, athletic and are versatile; also like I said before anything to move Garcia down on the depth chart. Him being domestic doesn't hurt either; other guys I think could move to the MLS are the Nakajima's, Bernier and Ornoch.
BearcatSA
Yeah, I like Harmse...wish he was still with the club. He's one of the more underrated players in MLS. Definitely not a week in, week out starter, but played a good role as a rotational player. Apparently Harmse is still rehabbing from his tendonitis problems of last summer but under Kinnear with the Dynamo he has his best chance of getting the most out of his talents, IMO. To me, he still an MLS squad guy/role/situational player type, and it's easy to undervalue what he brings to a team but just as easy to overrate his capabilities. That said, I hope he gets healthy and is able to get his career back on track in Houston.
