Moldy9
Anyone have pics on the new Legea jerseys the Impact will be wearing? All I've seen thus far are their practice shirts which are seriously ugly. Too bad they couldn't stick with Puma, especially in a World Cup year as it could've generated a little more revenue. Does anyone know why the Impact decided to go with Legea? Are we on a budget cut or something? There's only a few handful of squads that wear this brand in the Serie A. Lotto would've been a lot nicer.
Kurosawa1555362267
nobody has seen the jersey's yet, they will probably have a press conference when they are ready to present them. As for the Puma jersey I read somewhere that Saputo and DeSantis were really upset about the quality of the champions league jersey they received in 2008. Moldy9
Their Puma kit was somewhat nice but not amazing. I was lucky to purchase one of the players Champions League kit and I find the material to be kind of cheap.
Jeremy
Well if it can save Saputo some $$ before the MLS, so he can buy a good DP, I'm all for it! Seriously, I don't think theres a significant price difference between the two contracts... and i'll manage with a LEGEA jersey before an Adidas one. And it can't be that terrible, like the practice jersey, right?
Moldy9
And it can't be that terrible, like the practice jersey, right? you're right, they can't be any more ugly than the practice shirt... I really hope.
joepaco
Their is talk that it will also be light blue , just like the UGLY practice jersey. This is to brand a new color before we ( potentially ) enter the MLS.
Moldy9
but if or when we enter the MLS would it matter? Won't we have to switch over to the adidas monopoly?
Daniel
We should be able to keep our colours.
Trident
Yeah unfortunately. But there's a tonne of dark blue/black/white teams in the MLS now, so even though we're older than them, we'll be the "new guy", so it's best to move to something different than what we have. SoccerfanatiQ
I also heard that Mr.Saputo is the LEGEA distibutor in North america !
MTL_4_LIFE
I also heard that Mr.Saputo is the LEGEA distibutor in North america ! That is true! We should be able to keep our light blue colors. Why would MLS want to make every team the same type of blue. LIGHT BLUE and WHITE are our colors. No one can take that way from us

Trident
TRAITOR !!! Someone please stop Trident from doing more harm ! Now now boys, don't forget I'm the same historical hardliner who said "anyone who wants to change IMFC's colours will get a punch in the mouth" on bigsoccer. But that was in response to some Yank who suggested we take the CH's tricolore. I think a shade shift would be good, better visibility, makes sense with Saputo's footbusiness ideals of making money. Also, we've shifted colours quite a bit, many different shades but its always blue!
bettermirror
Gotta stay with a lighter shade of blue.
Vic
Totally off point but I read Saputo sponsored some of the 2010 athletes and for that I will buy and proudly wear an Impact jersey.

Kurosawa1555362267
The new jersey should be unveiled after the Portugal stage that starts this week end.
Daniel
I think a shade shift would be good, better visibility, makes sense with Saputo's footbusiness ideals of making money. Yeah, everyone know that minor league soccer and even MLS are where the money's at! The Impact is currently a not-for-profit entity whose budget is based on break-even spending. Looking at the coffers of most MLS owners, I doubt they're in it for the money. Owning a pro sports team has typically been a vanity project in North American sports. Trident
Yes. They have break even spending. Can you do more breaking even when you make more money? Yes. No one realistically makes a soccer team in north america to line coffers daniel. Enough of your sass.
Keano
Who knows how much like the practice jersey it will be, but the lighter blue is ok. I just hope there aren't bigass ugly Legea logos all over the shoulders or something.
