Haven't heard from Big Bird in a while so i'll update everyone on Julian Uccello. Julian is on loan with Bellaria of Serie C2, the team is in 11th spot in the standings at the halfway point (after 17 rounds) of the season. Julian has scored 4 goals up to this point in the season. He and his team will be taking on Pro Vasto this Sunday afternoon.

As a side note, the team that holds his contract - Crotone of Serie B - has 2 teenagers on loan from Lazio and Juventus respectively. If the loans are over next season there would be room for Julian on the roster.

For anyone wanting to stay up to date with goings on in Italy check this site out:

http://www.gazzetta.it/speciali/risultati_classifiche/2010/calcio/serie-c2/gironeb/index.shtml

You can change the Division and group in the drop down box at the top middle.

Both Olbia (Masciantonio) and Pro Belvedere (Mauro) are in the relegation playoff zone of Girone A. Masciantonio has scored once this season for Olbia.

I didn't see this posted already, but my apologies if it has. someone posted this on transfermarkt.co.uk website. Don't know the credibility of the source.

Blackburn observing Atiba Hutchinson

The Canadian of F.C. Copenhagen is in the Englishmen's sight. Atiba Hutchinson's contract is expiring this summer, but the Canadian can leave the club already in January.

According to the information of sporten.dk, Premier League side Blackburn Rovers are interested in F.C. Copenhagen's strong midfielder and likely in the winter transfer window.

The Englishmen have in the autumn been to Parken Stadium several times to watch Atiba Hutchinson in action, and will also be there at tonight's match against Cluj.

- No comments, sounds it from the player's agent, Roger Ljung, about the Englishmen's interest.

My initial thought is 'Tiba might be able to go a long way in persuading Mr. Hoillett to join the good guys...

And I would love to see Hutch in the EPL, though I have no real admiration for the way Sam Allardyce manages a football club.

Thanks for the update!

Haven't seen a lick of info about this rumour coming out of England, but did find that the Dynamo's Stuart Holden was linked to Rovers:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/b/burnley/8429612.stm

Burnley and Newcastle have settled on a fee for David Edgar. Burnley have four games in the next two weeks and a bit that they probably feel they can get some points from. If Edgar gets into any of them, it may lend credence to the theory that they were holding him back to justify a lower fee. If he still doesn't get a game, Owen Coyle doesn't rate him as highly as we'd hoped.
