jpg75
You can add Vitti and Fellinga to that list; http://www.tsn.ca/soccer/story/?id=302688
Chaos
I think Guevara will be missed. Vitti not so much.

Obinna
Why cut Fellinga? It's not like they REALLY gave him a chance. I would have prefered him at left back instead of Brennen. Vitti had alot of expectations put on him because he was from Independiente and I think he never fit at TFC because most of the players around him don't keep posession well. At the same time he clears up alot of space so I am not too dissapointed.

The only thing i can think of is that Mo has had a change of mind and Gabe Gala is going to get his chance to shine...yeah, right! [}]
TFCRegina
I'm holding out on Gabe Gala playing. He needs some minutes sometime within the next 2 years...
tmcmurph
So with Amado Guevara gone who will take the set plays? Say what you want about him he was the ace at the set plays for the team. I don't know of any other TFC player with that level of control. You could always have Dero or Ali just blast the ball at the wall to scare or take out the other team's defenders but that is a bit of a waste (although damned entertaining!) for a strategy. I was not impressed with his corner kicks though, I thought TFC could have done better on their corners, too many wasted ones from Guevera. ag futbol
^ From the scouting reports, there was apparently "a lack of sophistication". Also down to the coaching staff. He ok with what he had... nobody else on the team really showed much promise with them.

JDG and Dero are excellent at what they do but I don't think curving the ball over / around a wall and getting the shot on the corners of the net is their forte. You need someone with better control even if it means less power.

Despite scoring 2-3 cracking goal with the MNT, JDG isn't a very good shooter IMO.
Ivan
DeRo can do it but hits the net at a rate of 1 every 10 times. Every blue moon he scores a wonder goal from a FK. Guevara was nearly always on or very near target.

I can't speak for his consistency, but in principle he has the ability. Consistency is the hard part. I think Dero is a great player but there was a reason Amado took the FKs. Now with AM gone does Dero practice his FKs to be more consistent? That would be great. We all know he has power to spare. That was one great shot especially the last angle where you can see how much the ball moved laterally. Getting it on net is the key, not over or wide. Shots on net make the goalie do something, cause problems, go for the rebounds etc. Wide and high just make the keeper's life too easy.
