Saviola7
The time is almost upon us, and I was wondering who people think need a move. Off the top of my head I have the following candidates (in order of urgency): Lars (or the keeper ahead of him) David Edgar (or sort out his contract issues for goodness sakes) Stalteri (not getting too many minutes at 'gladbach) McKenna (ditto) Players who might want to make a move I think include: JDG (get back to Europe) Marcus Haber David Monsalve (on to bigger and better things)? Simeon Jackson (ditto)? A few more musings: - I think that the Tam problem would be easier to handle if he was actually playing in Canada. Bring him to TFC! - If Hoilett gets transferred around it would reset his international clock and could be better for us.
Obinna
I wonder why JDG doesn't find a 3-month loan like Donavan? Perhaps to a Bundesliga team.

If it expires next summer then a move back to TFC might allow him to get his Canadian passport back in time for 2012.

I think Stalteri is at the best spot he can find right now, big $$$. JDG is obviously staying in TO. Habers up in the air. I think Jackson should move up to the CCC at most, hes made a nice transition to a higher league no need to jump up two more. Monsalve should stay with FC Inter, he was starting because the regular starter was out and it looks like that starter is off to bigger and better things. He should get all the pro experience he can, sitting on the bench somewhere else in Europe won't do anything.
Obinna
Tam would be a good signing for TFC. What salary would he need? Mabye something like $200,000-225,000? Him and Julian in the Centre midfield would be nice. Could probably even get rid of Cronin too and free some cap space.
Obinna
Jackson deffinatly should go to the EPL while his value is high. Unless Newcastle or West Brom want to buy him. Worst case senerio he gets loaned down to a CCC club. Hutchinson's contract is not up until this summer I believe so he should be staying put. Wasn't there interest for De Jong at FC Twente? Thought I read that somewhere....

But I disagree on Jackson, worst case scenario would be sitting in the press box in the EPL ala Edgar.
jpg75
Yes, Marcels' dad wrote that there was interest from a number of clubs in Holland and abroad. It's possible that Hutch could sign a contract for next summer during the winter window. Agree about Monsalve too, he's only 21 years old, he should stay with Inter Turku and get PT. George
According to transfermarkt.com Tam's contract with AEK ends 30.06.2011. AEK is going through a tough financial spell again. They might just let him go at the end of the season to get him off their book. But who knows...?

I think the more realistic idea would be if JDG moves on TFC pockets some cash and Tam ends up taking his spot. Cronin can be the "other" guy in the centre (although he does make good trade bait ... he's great depth cover at this point).
DJones
Haber's been offered a contract at West Brom. It's now down to the Whitecaps not doing something silly!

trueviking
lars and edgar need a loan something fierce... i think if JDG could have found a contract in BL1 he would have been there full time... jackson at newcastle would be very interesting....along side big andy carol would be a good tandem of complimentary skills....someone call his agent. KAS
A loan for JDG like Beckham and Donavon would be a good idea, but there hasn't even been a rumour yet. David Edgar's situation has really sucked so far, but I'm sure that it will be settled soon and then he will finally get the kind of EPL playing time that everyone has wanted to see for the last few years. Jackson should and almost certainly will be sold this January. I can't see him being dumb enough to extend his contract, so his club will sell him while they are able to get maximum value. There has been alot of interest, and the rumoured price is quite low given his potential, so he will move up. Whether it is better to go to the EPL or CCC is impossible to say for sure because every club is different and the situation at each club (ex: injuries or suspensions) can change at any moment. I personally would aim for the EPL because he might just make it, while some who go to the CCC first never get the chance in the EPL.

His price is actually really high rumours have had up to 2.5 million pounds. That is pretty ridiculous for a league one player. And potential is just that, potential. As Canada fans we know that better than anyone
Toronto MB
I think many of you know that I have been singing Simeon Jackson's praises as much as anybody on this board. I've seen him live over 10 times in the last couple years, and think he is a tremendous talent. He is also a really nice guy, and seems as eager and hungry to achieve as anybody I've spoken to on the MNT. That being said, I don't think it is out of the question that Simeon will stay with the Gills. Yes, there is financial incentive for them to sell him off before the end of his contract. But there is also financial pressure for them to stay afloat in a very competitive League One this year. The Gills form has dipped of late, and losing their primary goal producer over the last couple years could be enough to see them relegated. I also think that interest in Jackson may have diminished since his red-hot start to the season. I do believe that Jackson would be able to make a contribution to a Championship team, but I certainly do not believe that he is ready for minutes at the EPL level. Watching the teamm at the Gold Cup, it was quite apparent to me that Ali Gerba was a considerably more developed player in terms of strength, positioning and an ability to cope with top level defenders. Given Gerba's inability to make a major impact at MK Dons, I feel that anything beyond that Championship is a step too far for Jacko right now. The good news is, the kid (note that he is exactly the same age as me), could still develop into a top quality European striker if he continues his current curve of improvement. I'd be curious to hear what you guys think...
Obinna
I agree with most of that. I could see him staying at Gills I don't think it is entirely impossible. I think if he did go to the EPL he would get David Hoillet type minutes. Now that might not entirely be the best think because we want him playing all the time, but I fear that if he transfers to the CCC he will get stuck there. Kind of like Ian Hume is now. I think the best senerio is for him to sign with Newcastle, West Brom, or even a club like Cardiff City. Anyone from the CCC who looks promotion bound. Saviola7
http://www.gunebakis.com.tr/haber.php?id=25508&t=Hutchinson_da_ka%C3%A7%C4%B1yor! Not sure what it says (google translate is useless), but it seems that Trabzonspor will still keep an eye on Hutch even though they missed out on him. youllneverwalkalone
^My understanding is that Hutch can sign a pre-contract anytime. I'm not sure these things actually get announced, so he may have done so already and we'll hear about it it July. Given that he's available for free, I would think it much more likely that he end up in England with some of the clubs we've heard rumoured over the last few years: West Ham, Brum, and Newcastle could all use him.
