ag futbol
The odd part is, now that they are talking about 2010 it seems way less credible this gets done. The ownership looks more incompetent by the day.
Chaos
I have a feeling if MLSE knew the Argos were going to cause such a storm to get into BMO Field, MLSE would not have invested in the grass field yet.
Richard
Despite public statements from the Argos owners and MLSE public protestations that they have no influence with the City on their decision, there is no doubt MLSE are not stting on their hands playing a mute wait and see game. I doubt very much that the Argos will ever get to play at BMO Field as long as TFC are the princial tenants and MLSE the facility managers. If the Argos get access and plan a game, can you imagine anyone going if the supporters groups promise to encircle the gates and block access to the Argos fans ? Not going to happen ever the city of Toronto wont blow this one for a bankrupt CFL team. But I can just see the see of TFC red arms linked blocking Argos double blue fans... would truly make a statement on so many levels.
Tuscan
^ And alienate both footy and supporter's culture to the rest of the nation. The repercussions of an act like that would be a lot more than I think people'd bank on, as those who are very devoted to the CFL (i.e. Rider Nation here in Saskatchewan) would see it as basically an act of war. Richard
^ Which of course would be perfectly ridiculous and typically juvenile.
