I think before we send anything to Umbro/CSA, we should have something more solid to show them than just a jpeg and this thread. I propose we open a poll thread after the Argentina match with a few kit designs, and allow people to vote on which kit they'd buy. Then we can rack up some statistics and have some clear market research to show them.

It really is nice... I must have written in this forum about the lack of marketing by the CSA for the Canadian kit a hundred times. Since I started following we have had the most basic, cookie-cutter designs ^^^^. This jersey is actually very, very original and if we could adopt it or something like it, we would actually be giving ourselves a shirt design unique, like most of the great international teams have.

I like the jersey the way it is. If this becomes a Voyageur thing, I'll will buy one, no doubt, but I hope the CSA and Umbro take a look at this thread, hardcore CMNT seems to be pleased with this design.

I just hope they come up with a long term crest that the team uses forever after.

We need something to separate the soccer team from everything else and is easily recognizable...and cool.

Quick couple of questions: I want a Canadian jersey and I will likely have to order it online since I'm in NB - is the canadasoccerstore.com the best (or only) place to order? and should I go with Red or White? Personally, I'm thinking Red.

Edit: Hmm after posting this and surfing the canadasoccerstore.com site it appears they're out of stock of both red and white jerseys - guess i really need another option :-(

I've been in a dozen Winners and seen zero NT jerseys.

I've been able to get the plain white Adidas ones in youth sizes at the Vaughan Mills mall adidas store, but no adult sizes.

Ebay is probably your best bet, but right now there are none of note on there (some awful reproductions and generic t's though).

New stuff won't be available until the new year, and the soccercanadastore will be gone. You could probably get CSA to ship you a scarf or hat though (or a plain t with the CSA logo stitched over the left breast), if you ask nicely some time after the Tuesday friendly. Or get a V to pick one up for you at Tuesday's game (or at the women's friendly on Sept 30).

The hats ($15) are kinda cheap baseball caps with the CSA logo in red with white stitching or black with red stitching and white letters. The new scarves ($20 - see my avvie) are made by ruffneckscarves.com but are not the ones that are on their site.
