Jeremy
It's ridiculous I haven't been able to buy my own MNT's jersey for a good while now, in my own country.
TFC07
we are still wearing Adidas until about April/May. Latest rumour I heard is Umbro is lining up to replace Adidas. Fairly reliable source but anything can happen I guess. If that is the case, then I don't mind Umbro at all since they actually put in an effort to design the kits unlike Adidas. Moldy9
whoever is keeping tabs on the CSA chalk this one up although I'm pretty sure it's already there.: poor marketing/merchandising fail

Moldy9
there wont be new jerseys until there is a new uniform sponsor because Adidas is out. Is that why the peeps at EA Sports couldn't have done a better job with the MNT jersey in the WC2010 game? For those looking for jerseys, they're hard to find. I just added a 2004 white with DE GUZMAN real font from those years from soccerplus.net PS they apparently sold out of the 2002 shirt and sent me the 04 instead without asking... be careful. Macksam
It's ridiculous I haven't been able to buy my own MNT's jersey for a good while now, in my own country. I always see them, both the white and the red shirts, on display in the Adidas store right on the north east corner of Yonge and Dundas. If you're ever in Toronto, go there. yomurphy1
I just bought one today at Winners at Markville Mall in Markham, Ontario. It cost 45 and was the last red but they had about 12 whites left.
Blue and White Army
The CSA online store has the 2008/09 home top for $49.99... but if you're in Vancouver, Winners (downtown location at Robson and Granville) has two small and two extra-large away (white) tops for $44.00. I just bought the last large one that was left. They also have several red tops available in extra-large, but without the CSA logo stitched on to them (so it's not actually a Canada MNT top, but it's damn close). They're on sale for $16.00. Yeah, this whole phenomenon of not being able to buy Canadian soccer jersies in Canada seems to exclude the GTA, where they are easily available. CDM10
I will definately check out the Markville Winners as I am in the Market for one....I have a contact at Umbro....I will ask about this rumour that they will be taking over as the kit sponsor....Cheers! Regs
Umbro will do this right, guaranteed. If you've seen their new stuff, it is top class. Nike is pushing them to capitalise more on their "heritage", much like they did with the Converse line after that acquisition. Adidas is too big to care about Canada as a soccer nation and thus, didn't pump any money towards much marketing of National team kit. BTW, Dolie is the sales rep for Umbro in Western Canada... Regs
I should also add: Umbro has acquired the rights to distribute TOFFs merchandise in Canada. We received a shipment a month or 2 ago of several jerseys that were quite sharp, including the 1979 retro Vancouver Whitecaps home and away. Ask your local soccer store about them if interested. If you are out west, PM me Cheers, Regs.
Moldy9
Is this site reliable? I'll order one from there. as I wrote Jeremy in a pvt msg, yes this outlet www.soccerplus.net do a good job name screening jerseys with the appropriate fonts, i just had a bad experience because they sent me a adidas CSA 2004 shirt and not the 2002 CSA shirt, according to them they were sold out. Blue and White Army
Today's press release from the CSA regarding the upcoming South American tour has this photo of Simeon Jackson: New kit, or just an Adidas training top?
yomurphy1
It's a training kit. I saw Hainault wearing it in the build up to Jamaica. It certainly looks better than what we have now.
Macksam
I still vouch for a jersey with a design similar to retro Team Canada sweaters like 1972 and 1987. Seriously, how bad ass does this look? So many teams have plain red tops. Having a big maple leaf on it will make it stick out, and potentially even gain international sales just for the fad aspect of it. Jeremy
Yeah I'd buy something like that definitely (actually I'd buy any jersey that is available for me to buy) I love 70's 80's soccer design. I think the Whitecaps retro logo is wonderful. A real surprise, took part in a friendly tournament yesterday and saw a girl sporting the Canada jersey. She was really surprised when I said "awesome jersey!"

Actually bad and ass do come to mind. That design is not for a soccer jersey. Plus we already had something like that with those weird Umbro kits in the mid 90's. I'd love to see a reverse Ajax design. But that will probably never happen.
cfof
Well, I guess we can all but confirm that Adidas is on the way out. Their logo has been scrubbed from the CSA's website.
