There is no denying he had a poor game against NY. He played quite well earlier in the season but his form dipped near the end. It is possible that injuries played a part in this. For Canada though he has always played well and was one of the few players who was good throughout the last WCQ. I wouldn't write him off for Canada or TFC just yet.

Your right Grizz. Injuries definitely took their toll on Serioux. I'm amazed he made it through the season. The scuttlebutt I'm hearing is that if the pinched nerve in his neck doesn't show progress, he may have a short future in the beautiful game.

In fairness to Barrett, saying he pulled himself out of the game means that Blair wasn't paying particularly close attention considering the heavy collision between Barrett and the RBNY keeper. Barret as injured and he was injured because he fought hard to get to a ball that was 50-50 at best.

I just wanted to get that off my chest as on a night that TFC lacked effort, lacked commitment, lacked spirit and lacked just about everything else you can probably think of, at least Barret put in an effort.

I would agree. That was a solid collision.

If he gets healthy, he should move to RB (where he featured effectively with Dallas, IIRC), then the team could maybe package Wynne and another player(s) in possible trade deal for a CB.

The writer missed the boat on Barret indeed; that was a major collision. I would like to know how in hell he and others have come to the conclusion that O'Brian White is 'a keeper'. Based on what? Barret was better for god's sake and I don't think very much of him.

I have the same questions about OBW. I don't think alot of people realize that he will be 24 years old come Dec. 14th. That's the same age as Vitti, Barrett and a year older than Wynne.

yes, but couldn't it be argued that after coming off of a majoy injury layoff he has been more effective than almost all three of them combined this year? The guy has a real scoring touch that none of the others have, Wynne obviously not being a striker is different. but Vitti and Barrett have had too much time to prove themselves and havn't, OBW has had half a season and has scored some pretty sweet goals, getting a lot less playing time then certainly Barrett. I'd keep OBW over any of those guys any days.

Are you kidding? He scored two goals -- how many of those TWO were in the 'pretty sweet goals' category. He is 24, Jamaican and did not score when it mattered on a terrible team. Anybody suggesting him for our nats should have their f*ing head examined.

I'm past due (head exam), but I'm certainly not suggesting he's worthy of playing the MNT, more just finding it silly that he's being compared to those three, when in my opinion (and it's very humble I assure you) he's got a lot more potential then Vitti and Barrett.

And I didn't see TFC play enough to know exactly how many goals he scored, but certainly his chip goal was sick. Barrett would dream of such a goal, and has no injury excuses, Vitti neither. How many games did he start compared to Vitti and Barrett?
