jonovision
I know USL stands for United Soccer Leagues but how crazy is it that for the 2nd year in a row, the league will have a Canadian champion!
tmcmurph
What a game! Absolute great soccer. I was bored with the PR-MI game but this one was a rollercoster ride that I loved. An all Canadian final and both games on grass! Caps for the win in both games against Montreal! [8D]

SthMelbRed
It sounds like both games (Swangard and Portland) were great with top atmosphere. Some MLS types must be sitting back in relief that Vancouver and Portland were the last two standing in the expansion stakes. I'll most definitely be watching the first leg on SlingBox, but I'll be at work during the second leg. Hopefully, the 'Caps will have it wrapped up in the first leg. Hey Allison. Too bad about your defender getting injured. It really showed. You were just not the same team without him. Like the song goes "2 out of 3 ain't bad". I know you and the army were looking for the triple play but maybe next year. What a game. I'm still excited. A complete roller coaster ride for both sets of fans. These 2 teams play a very exciting style of soccer this year. We'll do our best to make Montreal's year suck at the finish Can't wait for both to get into MLS. Cheers

Swear to Gawd I thought Portland might pull out a win at the end. Other than that one which Cronin made a hash of great goals from start to finish and as entertaining a match as you could ask for. Bit off topic but I'm increasingly of the opinion that FIFA should add one more sub to the current allowance. I know USL uses the increased allowance to compensate for the crazy scheduling that occurs in the leagues at times but honestly, if you want to keep a match fresh and competitive to the final whistle it's surprising how much difference that extra body can add to the overall quality of those last few minutes. Tuscan
Was anyone able to make a recording of this game? I wasn't able to catch it, and from the sounds of things, it was a match not to have missed! (bloody hell!)

masster
That was the best game I have ever been to live. Atmosphere was unbelievable. Hats off to the Timbers Army who are so impressive at the USL level, I can only imagine what MLS will be like. Chances at both ends. Just great.
