The play offs are set and I'll be out of the country.

Anyone want extra (free) tickets to either the Caps or Impact (I have seasons tix to both teams) quarter final home game on Thursday Sept. 24 let me know asap. I'll need to leave your name with the tix at the respective box office. Send me a message by NOON Monday, otherwise I'll be a calling up a local charity and donating them.

Cheers,

huh - seriously?

According to the Charleston website the game will be played Sunday, September 27 with kick off set for 7 PM.

Impact's website has the same:

THE IMPACT WILL FACE THE CHARLESTON BATTERY IN THE QUARTERFINAL ROUND

[...]

The first leg will be played Thursday at Saputo Stadium, at 7:30 pm (radio-canada.ca/sports, CKAC Sports, THE TEAM 990, USLlive.com). The second leg game will be played Sunday at Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston at 7 pm (FSW, CKAC Sports, THE TEAM 990).

[...]

After the quarterfinals, teams will be ranked according to the regular season standings. The semifinals will be played between September 30 and October 4. The final round this year will be played on two games</u>. The home and away series will be held from October 9 to the 11, and from October 16 to the 18.

^ Does that mean if PR manages to reach the finals, they'll have to play 2 games on the road ? [:P]

Actually, nobody from the USL staff stated that Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium is a more suitable venue for playoff games compared to last year... This change doesn't guarantee that last year's fiasco won't happen again, we all know the USL too much to believe that.

Ticket Update:

0 Caps tickets left;

2 Impact tickets remain.

Most of us don't want tickets anywhere else than 114 even if they are free. If your tickets were in 114 you would have numerous requests for them by now. Considering that most of the games you are there you come over to 114 anyway maybe you should buy your season tickets in 114 next year. It would help us out as well because the higher our season ticket sales are the better for us when dealing with the club. You would save some money too!:D

expedia.ca is quoting all-in $351 Canadian return from Burlington, Vermont to Charleston. I love Charleston, it's a great, great city. And if my work schedule was even a little bit flexible I would be all over this one.

All tickets gone.

Yep, I agree I'm moving all 4 of my tickets over to either 114 or beside there at worst case for 2010.

Unfortunately, not all people I bring (seniors etc) can stand for the entire match, so i may have to compromise and get either 113 or 115 as close as to the aisle as I possibly can. Will keep you posted.

Most of 114 still has seats, it is only the first few rows where the seats have been removed. If you are with seniors they could sit near the top of 114 or move to a neighbouring section even with tickets in 114. There are always empty seats in the sections next to 114 because some of those people move into 114 and some people with cheap/free tickets don't show up. It does really help us the more people we have who buy tickets in 114. For one thing, the club removes as many rows of seats as we have season tickets so the more tickets sold the bigger the non-seating area.
