tarnado1555362291
not sure wether this has any credibility, but for what it is worth, soccer365.com is reporting.. "Turkish reports have Trabzonspor sizing up FC Copenhagen's Canada midfielder Atiba Hutchinson..." http://soccer365.com/us_news/story_7909231234.php
jpg75
I think that rumour is a few weeks old and Hutch had turned down their offer... You missed this from the same link: The agent for Cologne's Canada defender Kevin McKenna says his client is wanted by Panathinaikos this winter... edit: Ahh, never mind. I just saw you had posted that in the Canucks in Germany thread.
TFCRegina
Too bad, Turkish Premier Division is pretty good quality football.
Obinna
thank god this didn\t happen. hutch deserves a big four league or top team in a stronger league than danish superliga. trabzonspor is neither. i hope when he transfers it is to germany to a club like stuttgart, hamburg, bremen, or even hoffenhiem. never heard the panathinakos rumour about mckenna. that would be a better situation if he could establish himself as a starter. BrennanFan
hutch is one of my favs, but i think he has peaked with copenhagen. i don't see him going to a big 4 league at all. turkey wouldnt be so bad for him.
VPjr
For tax purposes, Hutch pretty much needs to get out of Denmark. I can't see him in a top 4 league, unless its with a small club in Bundesliga. i think he's in a sticky situation. turkey wouldn't be a bad league for him. Intense competition. Strong clubs. I see him either going to CCC in England, a small club in germany or maybe France.
RS
TFC?
VPjr
^ right now, I won't dismiss that possibility. I NEVER thought Julian would be with TFC at this stage of his career so I won't say its impossible that Atiba would come home too (unlikely but not impossible). Of course, TFC would need a 2nd DP slot or a BOATLOAD of allocation money
jpg75
How about Russia? Low taxes, big paycheque, high level of competition. He's already used to the cold by now...
nolando
A decent side in Russia, Turkey, Greece, Portugal all seem plausible and not all that bad of a choice...A B1 team struggling against relegation could be a great (and perhaps final big) chance to ever make it to a larger stage. I agree that he has peaked in Denmark - in fact I think he has really plateaued professionally for the last couple of years. It was glaringly obvious, at least to me, in WCQ that he just hasn't become the "world-stage" performer (like Julian became) that he so clearly had the potential to be at one time. Not a chance he would be at home in the CCC - Geesh...you can still barely see him when he turns sideways - albeit he is tougher than he looks, but he's no fit for the bar-brawling types of players and physicality of that league. I've been a little disappointed with Hutch. I think its a case of raised expectations.

Actually, Trabzonspor is both. The Turkish league is better than the Danish league and Trabzonspor is traditionally the biggest and most successful team outside of the three big Istanbul clubs (and the only non-Istanbul club to win the title). Last year they finished 3rd ahead of both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Hutchinson turned down a transfer to Russian club, Saturn, a few years ago which was a mistake in my opinion. I have to agree with others that he seems to not have developed as much as expected with Copenhagen.

I knew that before I posted that and should have given the club more credit. Perhaps the fact that he turned them down though shows that he is more ambitious than Trabzonspor. Although Trabzonspor appear to be a respectable club, Hutchinson may be looking for a mid-table club in Germany, seems like a natural progression considering he has been in northern europe all his career.
