Sam
I had the chance to chat with Canadian International and FC Nordsjælland player, Issey Nakajima-Farran. We talk about his youth career abroad, World Cup Qualifying and Canada's hopes at this summer's Gold Cup. http://canadianstretty.blogspot.com/2009/06/issey-nakajima-farran-interview.html

Keegan
"I think we should have gone a lot further but all I can say is that players got injuries at the wrong time, which set back the team quite a bit as the foundation was being built and we were confident." Like who? haha wasn't he the only one injured? Its not like we were missing De Guzman, Hutchinson, Friend, Stalteri or DeRo. We had pretty much a full XI available for all matches that mattered
jpg75
He's probably talking about the away match in Honduras. De Guzman got hurt, DeRo and Serioux were suspended. Also, Imhof and Radz were hurt back in September and i don't think Imhof was available after that.
BrennanFan
Imhof, Simpson, Nakajima - all injured for wcq. these 3 alone were killers as we had no defensive mid to help kill off a game and also we had no speed off the bench at all. remember issey had started against brazil and played an amazing game. bernier as a winger got us nowhere, and when radz got injured, we had nothing going forward. BearcatSA
quote:Originally posted by BrennanFan remember issey had started against brazil and played an amazing game. Well, his passing/crossing from the wing wasn't very effective and he should have scored on that breakaway, so I don't agree with your assessment/recollection of his performance in that match. However, when he's on form I think he's a quality flank player for our team.
Keegan
Oh wow how could I forget radzinski? Yes that was a key injury but apart from that nothing our depth couldn't handle. Radz was a key loss though for sure.
