john tv
It is going to be a great day and evening and with the fantastic support from TFC an historic day in Canadian soccer. I highly recommend that you attend and meet the who is who in Canadian soccer including those that played on the '86 team.
Metro
As I mentioned on the USector board, TFC did a nice thing by recognizing the inductees and bringing them out to the field before yesterday's match against LA. Unfortunately, they brought them out more than 20 minutes before kickoff when the stadium was barely a third full. I don't understand why they didn't have the mini-ceremony right before kickoff or even at halftime when there would have been more fans in their seats to appreciate the gesture. Ivan
^ Yeah, the timing was too bad, because the fans that were there gave the players and inductees a pretty good ovation. Many were standing. If that place was full when they brought them out it would have been special. Even Limniatis got a good reception. : )

I don't know if it was 20 minutes.I presume that timing wise we were subject to a variety of things including the players warm up,TV coverage etc. I did notice which I have in prior games that the east side is never more than a third full at kick of time.I guess the boys are still making their way over. All in all I know that the inductees were very happy with the response and I even ask Bobby if he heard the Boos and he really smiled big time. What also surprised me is that these inductees knew the names of all the TFC players while some of them were from BC. They all had a great time and hopefully allowing for the scheduling we hope to do this as often as possible. TFC were great hosts and even provided their facilities for a well attended media conference. So again thank you TFC,Paul and Cesar.
