Does anyone remember this Jersey?

I saw this on the TSN article about John Limniatis and Googled it. Here is what I found:

Does anyone remember Canada playing with Umbro uniforms? I don't. I know we have been with Adidas for a long time and briefly with Score but not with Umbro.

Does anyone have other pix from this era?

We had Umbro in the mid 90s after the score jerseys of 94 qualifying. I don't remember the above style though, doesn't look like it even has a CSA logo.

We had Umbro kits twice in succession, both times with red, white and a black third. Of the six shirts in total, only one of them sucked, but I bought it anyway because it was such an improvement on the Score fiasco. The material was sublimated with the shield of each province and territory (two at the time).

What he's wearing in that photo was not available to the public and doesn't look familiar.

We even had Umbro training staff shirts ... in blue. (I have one.)

The CSA logo is on the right. I have a Soccer Canada issue with the 96 GC;

Here are the pics I dig up. The jersey that he is wearing does not look fimilir. Also, the logo doesn't resemble the badge of Canada Soccer for what it is worth

I seem to remember an alternate black Umbro jersey as well, it was all black with a white stripe running the length of the shoulders (similar to Arsenal's current shirt style).

I even think we wore that in WCQ against Costa Rica for some reason.

We came close to the reverse Ajax one - that is the way to go in my opinion,.

We should get a kit combo that actually identifies us as a team. Look at teams like Argentina, Croatia, Brazil and even teams closer to home like Mexico.

Stick with one sort of template and don't vary too much.

I like the idea of an Ajax type kit. That would definitely identify us

Seeing those 90's kits makes me long for the days of sleeves past the elbow, black boots, collars on the shirts and mushroom hair.

Here is another photo of the black Umbro jersey. I remember buying this one in Ottawa prior to the '98 World Cup.
