^ Blackburn might him back but they cannot, under the current rules, sign him to a professional contract in England. They might be trying to get an exception but that would need a ruling by some government body.

EDIT: Just read the short Kicker article on Hoilett and they do indeed say that Blackburn are looking for a hearing whereby David would be considered an exception to the existing rules.

Seems like the Blackburn Rovers now see the talent of David Hoilett. They want him back

And as already mentioned bevore, Hans Meyer leaves M´Gladbach after saving them for relegation. A new beginning with a 67 year old coach would not make sense he explained.

Wasn't the original reason they loaned him to German clubs due to the fact he couldn't get a work permit?

^ Yep. But Blackburn will try to get special clearance for him. I thought you had to be American to have that work.

And, on a side note, which player's FC St Pauli jersey outsold all others this past season??

Number 23, David Hoilett.

So Energie Cottbus could not overcome their first leg deficit in their relegation playoff against FC Nurnberg and are moving back into Bundesliga 2 next season.

This move might actually be positive for the Canadians on the team: Eddie Sidra, Adam Straith and Kyle Porter (last two on loan from the Whitecaps) as they all have been part of the reserve team. The club, despite having the lowest payroll in the Bundesliga 1, will likely be paring down in size and calibre giving the Canucks a better chance of seeing time with the senior team.

So, in hindsight, it looks like McKenna's move from Cottbus to Koln was a fantastic decision! ;)

/Grizzly baiting.

'ppreciate that, I'm not allowed to. At least McKenna won't have to deal with that lot next season.

Dangerous claim, you are in the JDG2, OH and Fernandes territory with that kind of rhetoric...;)

Another beat of the drum. Colognes coach Christopf Daum retunrs to Fehnerbace Istanbul.

http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/509580/

He disolved his contract, so Big kev will get a new trainer.

He is after Martin Jol HSV, Hans Meyer M´Gladbach, Friedhelm Funkel, Frankfurt, Michael Frontzeck, Bielfeld 4th coach who left or lost his job.

Today will take place a crisis meeting in Leverkusen and everything looks like Bruno Labadia will be the next in this sphere.

Latest rumour has 'Gladbach after FC St Pauli's coach Holger Stanislawski which could prove interesting.

Also, some rumours of Marcel Koller (long time coach of VfL Bochum - who brought Imhof to Bochum from the Swiss league) perhaps moving on from the Bundesliga to return to FC Basel.
