amacpher
Well, FIFA were a bit slower than they said they'd be, but most people should now know how lucky they were in Phase 1. Check your FIFA account and/or your credit card statement. The status should be updated now. (I still haven't received an email confirmation though). masster
^ I checked my FIFA account and it says applicatin still pending. One other account said awaiting payment so I take that as a good sign. I should have 4 tickets to each of Ivory Coast's 3 group games.
Med_Hat_FC
If you check you're application account on the FIFA website, it will tell you how well you did. Plus I just got an email that said I was successful in three of my four ticket applications

maccaliam
Im stuck in a situation where my friend has tickets to 2 group matches and the finals and I have a round of 16 match. I say "stuck" bc we desperately want to go to the round of 16 match and the finals but cant afford to go to the group matches as well bc that would mean being in SA for almost a month which isnt financially viable (plus the ticket total $2000 US). It is beginning to look like he may have to give up all of them, as FIFA wont let him just buy the finals tickets. Any ideas how we could maybe make this work would be greatly appreciated!! I'm confused. Why don't you just go to the round of 16 match and the final then? I mean do try to sell the group-stage tickets if you can, but your worst case option should be to bite the bullet on the $150-200 those 2 games cost you and travel to South Africa ahead of round of 16 match. Not sell your final tickets which are probably worth well over $1000! It just seeems to me that the $150-200 is an insignificant loss if you were already planning the great expence of flying to South Africa and attending the R16 and final matches, which are two weeks apart. Scorpio
Me and my buddy got 9 games altogether. I got 4 of my 7 selected and he got 5 of his. Were looking at flying in for the Round of 16 and staying there until the final. - Did the same in Germany in 2006. My buddy got 1 group round stage, but I'm not sure which one. Everything else is R16, QF and a Semi. Gonna see try and get a final ticket somehow.

The two opening round matches cost $1120 US. I am keeping my Round of 16 no matter what. The problem is he says he doesnt think he can afford to pay for all the other tickets at the min (12 tix in total - the 8 tix for the 2 group matches and 4 for the final). I said I would give him what I owe him for the finals today but he thinks he is still short for the rest at the min. The concern is how hard it would be to sell the tickets for the opeing round matches bc they supposedly have names attached for all of the tickets. Think that would be hard to get around? They couldnt possibly check each persons ID at the gate to the stadium, would they?

Your main problem is that you won't physically have any tickets on you to sell. You have to pick-up your tickets in South Africa. How late in the group-stage are these games he has tickets for? Which games are they?
maccaliam
Good point. It may be tough to get people to part with that kind of cash if they dont know me and I cant hand the tickets over at the time. The tickets are for June 19, 22, 28, and July 11. It doesnt look like my buddy is going to keep them bc of financial reasons. Hopefully I can get him to transfer them to me and then I can worry for the next year about selling them.

If the team doesn't qualify, then they will refund the money, less the service fee for TST tickets.
