Hey Geoff,

Just wondering if you’ve firmed up any plans yet? I know you’ve indicated that you won’t know until the 29th or 30th, however, my LA buddy confirmed that he wanted to attend so I’m wondering if I need another ticket.

Cheers.

Brad

I hopefully can commit 100% in the next 2 days. I would buy another ticket.

Thanks for asking.

Not sure what you guys' plans are for July 4,but the LA Coliseum is hosting a soccergame between the South American All-Stars and the Rest of the World All-Stars,

Interesting roster, but the guy that stands out for me is Pauleta (Deportivo la Coruna, Bordeaux, PSG) as he's the only pro player from my island.

Looks like this event was cancelled, see:

http://www.lacoliseumlive.com/joomla/

"...stating that it is FIFA and CONCACAF's position that the exhibition scheduled for July 4th in the Coliseum is not permitted..."

Wonder what that means?

Hey, I'm a new member.

I bought tickets in section 113 Row D.

Now, just a few questions, I've never been to soccer match in my life (Love the game, follow it closely, just not so much Canada) and I don't know what to expect. Whenever I go to Poland and walk around town after a soccer match its pretty much a drunken, violent mess everytime. Now considering this is North America, how is the atmosphere like compared to say, an NHL game? What kind've attendance can I expect? Am I going to get jumped by a bunch of angry Jamaicans?

lol, just don't have a clue what to expect. I just dread showing up and it being dead and having my girlfriend be pissed that I dragged her off the beach for nothing.

Also are my seats any good? Again never been to a match so I'm wondering how the sightlines are like. I imagine when play is on the other end its going to be tough to see?

Wear RED and come on over to join us. I'd say the majority of people at the game will be there for El Salvador - Costa Rica, and the ones that will be watching the Canada game will be for the most part sitting on their hands.

The exception being the Jamaica fans and us of course. With our small numbers I'm not anticipating any problems unless any of us start flirting with the ladies in front of their significant others and/or relatives......

I'll be wearing my TFC jersey... Is that acceptable? Can't wait to see a few other Canadian plates in the parking lot.

Is the attendance projected to be poor? reading through this thread I read that a few sections were sold out?

So, there are going to be twelve of us? Just want to confirm that number because I'm going to call that pub superbrad mentioned and try to get us some space set aside.

Yeah that's about right. The stadium opens at 4pm so I'm thinking we should be at the pub no later than 2pm.....

Generally we prefer people wear Canada kit or Voyageurs stuff and not club kit. On the other hand this is more of an issue when we are playing at home in one of the Canadian club's stadiums where rival fans will be together. I doubt anyone in LA will be particularly upset if you wear a TFC jersey though a Canada jersey would be preferable.

Ah I understand, but this will most likely be a one off thing...

Hence the idea of maybe wearing a large Canada flag as a cape or something with the TFC jersey on.

Or would it just be better if I wore a generic "Canada" shirt. I'm assuming wearing Canada hockey jersey is frowned upon?
