Gentlemen:

I am proud to confirm that I will be in attendance for this one. I will be buying two tickets in the hopes that I can either drag another Canadian down or force one of my American mates in L.A. to come along.

There seems to be a bit of confusion as to where to buy the tickets? Any more recent advice as to which section we are pursuing?

As for the banners, River City (in Edmonton) has a bunch of the banners + a hefty drum. He had contacted me as I was considering driving down from the Peg.

It looks like due to work commitments I will have to fly down for this one. But let's still coordinate to get those down. I will be in touch with him personally, and will report back as to what the plan is for getting those down.

Also, I will drop a line in the Columbus thread to see what the banner situation is down on that end.

This will be only my 2nd west-coast appearance, following a great time in Seattle vs. Brazil. Looking forward to it boys!!

I'm still hoping to make it, but until I can confirm things at work, I won't know.

Having said, I'd gladly lend the bass drum if someone was driving down. If I end up flying, the plan is to take a bunch of banners and then hit up some pawn shops/flea markets for drums/noise makers. No point taking drums as checked baggage with all the restrictions. Never mind the fact it's too awkward to lug around!

Probably not, Superbrad. I think we should try and make sure as many of us move simultaneously as possible. As well, if there's anyone out there with a bunch of disposable income who wants to buy a dozen or so seats together and sell them back to us schmucks at cost, that would work too, but I'm not holding my breath.

A group buy would obviously be fantastic, but unfortunately it seems that us West Coasters lack the ability to drop hundreds of dollars to buy a block of tickets that we may or may not get our money back from.

It seems best to me if we all agree on a couple of day-long period when we'll buy our tickets and attempt to go for the same section.

This is the best idea - just keep an eye on the thread. There is no hurray (I don't believe). I've not yet booked air however I know Soka and guest are confirmed. I'm trying to decide whether to bring my son or not....means I might have to behave (some).

All right. I've tried to get hold of TicketMaster to see what it would cost us to do a group buy: I might just be able to buy up a block of tickets and sell them out to those V's who haven't already got tickets.

Who are our "for sure"s? Is Superbrad's list at the top of the thread accurate?

Not sure what you guys' plans are for July 4,but the LA Coliseum is hosting a soccergame between the South American All-Stars and the Rest of the World All-Stars,

Interesting roster, but the guy that stands out for me is Pauleta (Deportivo la Coruna, Bordeaux, PSG) as he's the only pro player from my island.

Nice Find River City.

The 'mighty' River City? Hahaha....we'll see how mighty I am, after 3 nights of drinking in LA, plus the obligatory farewell party in Edmonton before I leave and of course, the welcome home party as well...

I have verbal confirmation from work that I can take a few days off. Once the paperwork clears, I'll buy the plane ticket. Plan is to arrive on the 2nd and return on the 5th.

Anybody familiar with Los Angeles and Carson, California who can recommend a watering hole for the Voyageurs' Game Day? I've never been to Los Angeles outside of an airport stopover, so I have no local knowledge here. I'm tempted to troll the LA Galaxy/Chivas USA supporters boards for ideas, but may as well take it to the Vs first.

Also, on the subject of tickets, right now we're looking at:

Lord Bob

superbrad

River City (not official but since he's bringing the banners I'm writing him down in pen anyway!)

soka + 1

fearnsey + 1

Total: seven tickets

Hmmm that's the same night as Zidane and friends in Vancouver and Costacurta's name is on Zidane's friends list.

I think that might be because they changed the dates from July 5th to July 4th.

Blanco also was on the original list but is not available now as Chicago has a game on the 4th...

Did some trolling on the LA Riot Squad (support group). They seem to like a pub near HDC called the Off Campus Pub...they've an entire thread dedicated to the place.
