ottawaguy2009
http://www.canadiansoccerleague.ca/news_archive.php?news_id=158420 I have been to a Konyaspor match before in their stadium. Level of football I would compare to CSL. The Turkish Super League is decent but there are only about 6 teams that are noteworthy. The rest, like Konyaspor are like weak USL-1/strong CSL sides. I hope he imports a few Turkish players. My dad's Turkish so my opinion's somewhat biased but Turks are pretty decent footballers.
finchster
Even if the teams are weak I am sure a manager like this has a great wealth of experince against stronger clubs and that can only help the team and the CSL. Interesting signing

SoccMan
This new coach signing by the North York Astros is interesting. However, don't be fooled, this is basicaly someone who is imigrating to Canada with his family seeking a better life in our country. It's not like the Astros owner went to Turkey to recruit this coach and brought him to Canada offering him a good contract. Someone must have told the Astros owner about this person from Turkey that was imigrating to Canada and that he has a soccer coaching background and that he should offer him a coaching position with the team. Believe me, this new coach will be looking for a day job with the soccer thing being a part time thing. The CSL is in no position financiay to be bringing fulltime coaches from places like Turkey, exspecialy a team like the Astros who have always been at the bottom of the standings for most of the years of their exsistence.
