spiral
A long time coming, here finally is a good article on Vancouver's chances offering a close analysis of the Stadium and financial factors. A great point is BC Place's similarity to Commerzbank Stadium in Frankfurt as once the Retractable Roof is on and after the renovations are done, they'll be more similarities than differences between these two. I don't hear the people critical of BC Place complain about Commerzbank Stadium in Frankfurt as being viable for soccer: http://24thminute.blogspot.com/2009/02/vancouver-view-why-bc-place-might-not.html
TheKottonmouthed1555362307
Yea good article I havn;t been critcal on BC place one bit I was there during the Becks vs Caps game and it would be fine for a soccer match with the renovations that are slated to be done and could become a premier stadia for Soccer in Canada. BrennanFan
I wonder if it would be possible for the Whitecaps to play their Voyageurs Cup games at BC Place this year?
TT5
quote:Originally posted by BrennanFan I wonder if it would be possible for the Whitecaps to play their Voyageurs Cup games at BC Place this year? It would be possible, as long as it doesn't conflict with the Lions schedule or a boat show or something like that. I think the Whitecaps would also have to be confident that they could sell enough tickets. It wouldn't make sense for a game against the Impact as they already play in the USL against them, but perhaps TFC.
