Loud Mouth Soup
Toronto FC adds goalkeeper coach Canadian Michael Toshack was hired as the goalkeeper coach for Toronto FC on Thursday. Toshack, a native of Prescott, Ont., joins Toronto FC after spending three seasons in the MLS with the Houston Dynamo. "We are excited to have him on board," Mo Johnston, Toronto FC's manager, director of soccer, said in a statement. "Mike comes highly recommended. "He's coming here from a winning organization that will greatly benefit us and he knows all about our goalkeeper Greg Sutton." Sutton said he's looking forward to working with Toshack. "It will be great having Mike as a part of the team this year," said Sutton. "I know him well from my days in university and at the pro level. He's a class act and I look forward to reuniting with a good friend in the pre-season." Toshack takes over from Eddie Kehoe, who had served as the club's goalkeeping coach since its inaugural 2007 season. Kehoe will remain with the organization as ProZone Video Analyst, looking to help Toronto FC use the technology to increase in-depth scouting and trend analysis throughout the season. masster
Toshack spent time with the Whitecaps prior to heading to Houston.
Bxl Boy
Toshack was here in Montreal too and made wonderful job with Sutton If he can bring him again to his former level, that will be a good win for TFC

It was my recollection that Carmine Issaco was the GK coach in the inaugural season. Then, somehow, Kehoe elbowed his way in and Carmine was out of a job for no explicable reason. What is the inside story on this? db

Some guy posting under the story on the score (screen name: CSLstar) said something along the line of Kehoe being Mo Johnston's drinking buddy. Needless to say i think the title of his new position is slightly along the lines of paper shuffler.

I sure as hell hope not, the ProZone technology has the potential to become a distinct advantage for TFC over other teams in the league.
Sam
I saw this for the first time on the score. Seeing the headline "Toshack Joins TFC Coaching Staff" is very misleading
