Hate to beat a dead horse but did anyone see the Old Firm match Saturday? What was with the 10 trailer loads of sand they put down all about?

It's been unusually cold and the fields all turn to crap this time of year anyway but that was a bit bizarre.

Not sure which is worse, a bit of mud or using a sand lot with an under inflated ball to play a match.

For those who didn't see the fixture for frame of reference think of how Swangard with the grass at it's longest and thickest played and then double that.

Sloooow.

The good news is there wasn't much threat of over hitting a through ball to a striker.

The bad news was you were unlikely to see a second bounce out of the ball even on the highest punts.

Weird.
