Just stumbled across this article from Jason de Vos:

We need more exposure of efforts like this. Efforts taken by individuals in the soccer community that actually care about the soccer community (intentional dig at the CSA). I like the fact that this is an article written by a once professional player who is now outlining the serious importance for the opportunity at professional development chez nous. If anyone knows how badly we need a system that carries our young footballing hopefuls from their days of kicking into a five foot high net, right up to stepping into a fan filled stadium to play for a living, it is someone like de Vos. Hopefully this effort to start FC London is another sign that things are changing for our nations football scene and that young aspiring footballers won't always have to jump ship before the age of 16 to have a hope of making it big.
