English Premier League

Newcastle United (David Edgar) 2 - 2 Stoke City

David was on the bench and unfortunately, he didn't play.

German Bundesliga

Borussia Monchengladbach (Rob Friend) 1 - 3 Bayer Leverkusen

Rob started the game and was substitued on minute 82. Too bad for him, the club is last in the league and of course they are in the relegation zone. For the record, Rob has 5 goals in 16 games played.

Eintracht Frankfurt 4 - 0 VfL Bochum (Daniel Imhof)

Daniel didn't played and wasn't on the bench. Unfortunately, Bochum is too on the relegation zone.

FC Cologne (Kevin Mckenna) - Hamburg SV ==> Tomorrow at 11h00 ET.

I hope he starts the game tomorrow.

Dutch Eredivisie

Roda JC Kerkrade (Marcel De Jong) - Vitesse Arnhem ==> Today at 13h45 ET.

He will probably start the game.

Scottish Premier League

Inverness Caldeonian Thistle (Richard Hastings) 1 - 3 Dundee United

Richard played all the game.

Belgian Jupiler League

KSC Lokeren - Club Brugge (Michael Klukowski) ==> Tomorrow at 14h30 ET.

He will probably start the game. His club is first in the league.

English League One

Milton Keynes Dons (Ali Gerba) 0 - 2 S****horpe United

He started the game but I don't know if he was substitued because I don't have the information of subtitutions. He has 5 goals in 12 games played.

English League Two

Gillingham (Simeon Jackson) 2 - 1 Chesterfield

He played all the game and did score on minute 45. He has now 9 goals in 15 games played, he is 4th overall best scorer of the league (the best scorer has 11 goals). His team is 9th in the league with 31 pts, 4th to 7th go to the promotion play-offs, 4th has 32 pts and 3rd (who is directly promoted) has 34 pts, I think they have good chance to play in League One next year.

Interesting bit in the few minutes before kick-off about Roda JC Krekrade (de Jong's club) merging with Jupiler league (2nd tier) side Fortuna Sittard to form FC Limburg. Fans of both teams are against the move.

I still can't believe why we didn't make the Hex with all this talent. If you add, Julian De Guzman, Occean, Hutchinson, Nakajima-Farran, Bernier, Ornoch and Nsaliwa with the 7 players of my last post, that makes 14 players in european first divisions, they are all regular starters or regular substitutes that sometimes have the chance to start the game(with the exeption of David Edgar).

It's fair to mention Radzinski, De Ro, Hirschfeld...

Of the 7 players in your list, 3 were deemed not good enough to start for DM - Imhof, McKenna and De Jong. Says a lot.

BTW, McKenna is serving game #2 of his 3 game suspension.

I agree, though I don't think De Jong would have started ahead of Klukowski.

I really need to see this Ornoch play, considering the fuss some posters make about him.

I agree that Canada's players didn't play up to their potential, but I don't think the argument about lots of players in Euro 1st divisions holds water. For one, not all first divisions are created equal (ie: Danish Superliga and Norwegian Tippeligaen are not quite the same as La Liga).

The other thing is that several of the players named are far from being starters with their clubs. Issey, for example, is in and out of the starting XI and frequently injured. Ornoch is mostly a reserve player right now with his team, with only a few substitute appearances, which leads me to believe he is not quite ready for prime time.

I was, in my round about fashion, alluding to that with some of the player suggestions being made, using the Ornoch one as an example. Otherwise, I understand your points.

But Occean was one of the best scorers of Norwegian League, Mckenna should be a very important defender because of his position (center back) and his height (1m90). Nsaliwa could have done a good job too.

Nsaliwa was pretty much a moot point given the passport issues. I like Mckenna but he wasnt playinh much with Koln at the time, although I wouldnt have minded him having a look either. As far as Occean goes, I just think we have some other strikers that play the same style that I would pick over Occean any day (Friend and Gerba for sure)

But the bottom line is, as has been said, our guys just didnt preform to their potential.

Josh Simpson enters the game for Kaiserslautern at minute 80 in a 0-0 draw with MSV Duisburg.

Greek Super League

Tam Nsaliwa played (not sure if he started) for AEK Athens as they win 1-0 over Panthrakikos.

Danish SAS-Ligaen

Atiba Hutchinson goes 90 minutes for FC Kobenhavn in a 5-2 win over AC Horsens

Andrew Ornoch is a substitute (77') for Esbjerg and picks up a yellow card in a 1-1 draw with Vejle.

He was subbed out sometime after 60 min. Former Chelsea hero / Rangers flop / Norwegian NT striker Tore Andre Flo has come out of retirement to play for the Dons and came on for Gerba in his first appearance for the club. Both goals were scored after that.

Trivia: Flo recently placed second in the Norwegian version of "So you think you can dance"

In fact McKenna was playing every game last season. He missed games 1 and 2 of this season but was again a starter after coming into game 3 (Aug 29th). I don't agree with your statement at all.

Actually, Ornoch came into the game very early. He played a total of 82 minutes, playing as the secondary striker.

Ornoch was involved in the tying goal, which was scored while Esbjerg was playing a man down.

They are now off for the winter break. Esbjerg gets a new permanent coach in the new year so hopefully Ornoch will see more consistent playing time.

Tam played the full 90 in AEK's 1-0 victory vs. Panthrakikos.

It was must win game for struggling AEK against a lesser opponent. AEK are currently in 6th place in the Greek Super League with 20 pts.

From what I have read, Tam had another good performance even though he was out of position playing right midfield.

Guest Jeffery S.

Klukowski and Bruges lost 2-0 to Lokeren and fell out of first in Belgium. He played the whole game.

Aguiar did not dress for Gondomar's win over Varzim in Portugal 2nd division, maybe has a knock. They are still in relegation zone.

For Julian de G's match, Depor got lucky as the opposing keeper made a terrible error on their first goal and the second was a penalty. But still, Depor tied with At. Madrid for 6th, and just 5 points off 2nd place now as the leading sides face each other and lose points to each other every week this month.

Speaking of terrible errors, Dani F was red-carded and a PK awarded in the first few minutes of his weekend match for VfL Bochum. The youngster who replaced him was very poor.
