Start fan in exile
Olivier Occéan played 90 as his Lillestrøm lost 3-1 to long-time rivals Vålerenga. Lillestrøm are now in real trouble, only 3 points ahead of the relegation playoff spot and 4 points clear of straight relegation with two games left. Both teams behind them in the standings (Ålesund and and HamKam) won on the weekend to screw up the pressure. Lillstrøm's real problem is that they looked so listless in the loss to the team that is traditionally their most heated rival. If they keep this up they'll end up in the Adeccoliga for the first time in decades. Management have decided to bring in new manager Henning Berg (the former Blackburn and ManU defender) for the final two games even though he was not scheduled to take over the team until next season. Seems like a desperate move to motivate the players to fight for their spot. Should Lillestrøm go down, Occéan will have plenty of suitors from the remaining Tippeliga teams. Edgar has been captain of Newcastle reserves for a while

Always conflicted by this because Vålerenga (the team I support in Norway) have an American and a Jamaican while Lillestrom have Occean. Do you know what the status of the new stadium for Vålerenga is? Thanks.

sloth8
Julian started and was subbed off at about the 65th minute. Sounds to me like Julian was a little rusty and perhaps taking some of his frustration out on the other team: "Enter Dzagoev who, following a foul by Julian de Guzman on Lithuanian Devidas Semberas, struck the resulting free-kick into the top corner to put CSKA ahead after nine minutes." "Dzagoev was taken off in the 65th minute after being on the wrong end of one too many strong challenges from the Deportivo players, one a clear foot in the chest from De Guzman, which went unpunished by the Israeli referee and left CSKA coach Valeri Gazzaev fuming." http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/report?id=256576&league=UEFA.UEFA&cc=5901

Guest Jeffery S.
Fernando Aguiar is back with Gondomar in the Portuguese 2nd division. He played 90 last week as they lost 2-1 to Santa Clara, his first minutes this year, was not even on the bench for previous so I imagine he has just been signed. I think they had a bad start and decided to ask him to return to the team. Also read he is injured this week, as Gondomar is last with a point in 6 games.
