Whitecaps to be honoured at City Hall Today

The USL Champion Vancouver Whitecaps are going to be honoured today at City Hall. The release says the players will in attendance. The ceremonies are open to the public if you want to attend.

At 1:45 PM City Hall will raise the Whitecaps Flag.

At 2:00, City Council will acknowledge the Whitecaps as part of the scheduled Council meeting.

I love how things like this are always during working hours, and with almost no notice.

The cup win got quite a lot of press in town, but the The Province more or less rehashed the same old stuff about the "freakin stadium", and according to some dork who writes for The Province mentioned how the Puerto Rican fans were clanging and banging throughout the match and Whitecaps fans were doing the old "go Caps go" crap throughout the match. He then said that fans sang lots of songs AFTER the game. What the hell? Were we that quiet? I don't think so.
