REMOVE USELESS MITCHELL

SORRY FOR THE PLAYERS , VERY PROFESSIONALS , bring in Pekerman or Ossie Ardiles

If you listen to people like De Rosario and Jim Brennan, these players quit a long time ago. I don't like Dale Mitchell as a coach, but it seems to me that many of these players are prima donnas. I don't feel bad for them one bit, because they never gave anything close to maximum effort.

Mitchell is very much to blame but I think the Costly goal sealed the deal. Mitchell was bad but he sure didn't have any luck on his side. In my mind Canada played slightly better with two Honduras goals coming off horrible defensive play that couldn't be coached and an amazing strike.

With that said, if he doesn't step down tomorrow I'll be shocked.

Although tonight he really had the team playing well(especially considering who was missing!)... i don't really think anyone is going to defend him now.

I will say I don't think he's the absolute worst manager ever, BUT I wasn't in favour of his hiring in the first place...

MITCHELL MUST GO NOW!

Guest Jeffery S.

We played at the level of third division Spain tonight. I can watch at team like this in a small neighbourhood stadium somewhere near where I live. You can't say we played well, we did okay, had some phases, looked like we could have raised it, showed some heart. Some players were pretty good only because they did not totally screw up.

For me this was a lower division effort, a lower division team overall. Meaning they actually played below their club level. That is not good at all.

I don't think Mitchell has done a good job.

I think all of this pissing and moaning from our veteran players while we were still alive shows we never had the character or leadership we needed to qualify for a World Cup even if we had the best manager on earth.

And I'm sorry Limniatis? Mitchell tries to play a 4-3-3 usually and does actually field three forwards (if you could DeRo as a forward, I do). Limniatis has done a great job, but he's more defensive than Mitchell is and Limniatis has less experience!?

This team has never played with any urgency or heart in this cycle. The manager should inspire the players, but at some point you need to look in the mirror.

I'm not absolving Mitchell from blame but there have been a lot of players who haven't played well at all this cycle.

cheers,

matthew
