VPjr
^ Sengkang comes from behind at home to tie Geylang 2-2. good start to the season for Sengkang....they now sit 1-1-1 after 3 games.
wretchedguy
Unlucky for Harris for striking the post twice, though I ain't gonna complain. We came back from the dead to draw the game. Anthony came on in the second half and were crucial in setting up the 2 goals. Good game. http://fishoutofwaterspfc.wordpress.com/2009/03/06/sleague-season-2009-match-3/
wretchedguy
Never heard of two keepers from the same team getting sent off in one game? Just happened last night to Sengkang. On the plus side, both Murphy and Anthony continue to impress, especially the latter who excelled on the right with his footwork and forceful runs. http://fishoutofwaterspfc.wordpress.com/2009/03/10/sleague-season-2009-match-4/

Does your league have any rumours of problems with fixed officiating like they had in China? That is just too strange that both would get sent off. Thanks for the updates and keep them coming! Does your league have any rumours of problems with fixed officiating like they had in China? we had match-fixing problems in the the 90s-early 2000s. but our agencies have no tolerance on match-fixers and illegal bookmakers... they were quickly caught and punished... Lutz Pfannanstiel, who once played for Calgary Mustangs and Vancouver Whitecaps, played for Geylang United in the early 2000s. He was caught and jailed for 5months in a Singapore jail, for match-fixing... http://app.cpib.gov.sg/newcpib/user/default.aspx?pgID=

wretchedguy
We know how good he is the first time we saw him in pre-season and it was just a matter of time before he scored. At the rate he is going, he could very well turn out to be the player of the season for Sengkang. The chairman of Sengkang has nothing but good words for Murphy, praising him for his utmost professionalism and his dazzling displays.
updownslope
Rickey played in 0-2 loss to Tampines... only thing he got from this game was a yellow card, for diving in the penalty box...

wretchedguy
Our biggest defeat at home in our poorest turnout this season so far. Only one bright note from the match: Anthony finally scored his first goal, making an immediate impact when he came on in the second half. Seriously the coach has to go. http://fishoutofwaterspfc.wordpress.com/2009/04/11/sleague-season-2009-match-8/

Eric
Looks like the boys are finally adapting to the league and the country. Good for them, hopefully this is the beginning of a scoring streak.
VPjr
Thanks for the updates wretchedguy.... Sengkang need to address the defensive problems that have plagued them thus far. A clean sheet will hopefully build some confidence and result in a few more wins. Good to see Baha getting a goal. Nice to hear that Murphy is doing well too and creating opportunities.
