D'Agostino played 79 minutes for Blackpool Reserves in a 5-2 away loss to Carlisle.

the Carlisle site mentions him as he assists on one of the goals:

"The Seasiders quickly came back though and in the 25th minute Michael D'Agostino, who had a good game down the right, set up Merella 15 yards out for a right-footed shot which was well saved by Chris Howarth. The United goalkeeper had no chance sixty seconds later though when a D'Agostino cross in from the right found Ben Fishwick completely unmarked on the United six-yard line, Fishwick then left with the simple task of sending an unstoppable header beyond the reach of Howarth."

It may have already been posted (my apologies if so) but former Yeovil, Weymouth, and Havant & Waterlooville player Gavin McCallum has been tearing it up with Sutton United - eight goals in eleven appearances, I believe. Too bad they're in Tier 7 of the UK pyramid! (One below the Conference North/South.)

UEFA CUP Thursday Oct 2 08

Atiba Hutchinson starting for FC Copenhagen at home to FC Moscow. 1-1 for Moscow in the second half on an own goal from a Moscow player.

No Julian De Guzman as Deportivo take on Brann Bergen (is he still suspended?), 2-0 for Depor in the second.

Mike Klukowski starting for Brugge as they lead 2-0 over Young Boys at half.

FC Nordsjaelland are away at Olympiacos, 5-0 win for the home team. Bernier started but no sign of Issey.

Julian has a strained thigh muscle from I am not sure when (since he was suspended last weekend) and they decided to rest him, he was not called up. Read it this morning.

BTW see Depor has tied up their series with Brann, now 2-0 in the dying minutes of the 2nd half, but they have been playing with 10 men since. m. 29. So the whole damn match must have been tough, and we'll if they can make it to an even tougher extra time.

UPDATE: Depor goes through in the penalties, Aranzubia stops three of the four. Spain has absolutely amazing goalkeepers.

Copenhagen has gone through, so has Bruges, obviously Issey's boys have not.

De Guzman's coach Lotina was very cynical about his team's prospects in a press conference this week, saying they were not that good, if they could not beat Brann they were really not that good, and in any case they were not as good as Valencia (who could get knocked out of UEFA tonight) or Sevilla. I think it was a motivation speech, but it got play as he was very critical with the team's potential.

This is slightly old news now but last weekend, Andrew Ornoch had 2 goals and set up a goal as the Esbjerg fB Reserves defeated the Aab Aalborg Reserves 4-2.

Apparently, The Aab first team coach, Bruce Rioch, complimented Ornoch's strong performance post game.

Hopefully Andrew will manage a couple more strong matches like that for the Reserves and force the Esbjerg coaching staff to give him an opportunity for major playing time for the first team.
