Obinna
I'm going to say 1-1 and im hoping to see this formation, or at least something similar to it. ------------------Lars-------------------- Staltari----McKenna-----Serioux----Brennen Radzinski---De Guzman--Imhoff----De Rosario -----------Friend----Hutchinson---------- Friend needs support with him? Hutchinson needs to become more involved? Bingo.

Toronto MB
Mexico 0 - Canada 1 Rob Friend - 91st minute If I was Mitchell: --------------Lars--------------- Stalteri-McKenna--Serioux-Brennan --------Imhoff----DeGuzman------- Radzinski---Hutchinson--DeRosario -------------Friend-------------- Game-plan: 1. Bring in McKenna and Brennan for their leadership and heart. Can't argue with trying to keep the continuity as we are playing quite poorly. 2. Imhoff and JDG jam up the mid-field. They cannot be worried about getting forward. 3. Counter attack with pace of DeRo and Radz. May have to rely on some long balls to Friend, he most find a way to hold it up. 4. Push Serioux, McKenna and Friend forward. Make the most of the set-pieces. Guys like Stalteri, DeRosario, Radzinski, McKenna, Imhoff, Brennan and Serioux will not be around 4 years from now. They need to show that urgency on the pitch. LET US PRAY!!!

ob1
Canada 1 Mexico 0 Goals - Mitchell 90 In a last ditch effort to save Canada’s chances of qualifying, as well as his job as coach, the only tactical move Mitchell can think of is subbing himself in at the 85th minute. A perfect long ball finds his feet. He fakes out 2 Mexican defenders, and then splits 2 more before placing a perfect strike into the top corner. He then proceeds to run around with his shirt off showing his massive CSA 4 life tattoo on his chest.
superbrad
^LOL!! My prediction. 2 - 0 Mexico. We all cry into our beer. At least we cry together!! Predicting devastation in order to be happy with anything else....

Obinna
quote:Originally posted by BearcatSA Agreed. Let's get Hutch pushed up more. I'm glad soomeone does, too bad we couldn't convince Dale. He played there against Venezula and has played there before for FC Copenhagen in Champions League. He becomes a more effective player when he's pushed forward, and it isn't enough to play him behind Friend, he needs to play up there with him. Let Imhoff work the distribution with JDG, he is more than able. Also, De Rosario should be out wide, I don't care what wing.
bettermirror
Canada 1-2 Mexico Goals by Guardado, Dos Santos and De Guzman for Canada. Yellow's GALORE from the Canucks. Stalteri, Hutchinson, De Rosario, Hume.
The Beaver
I no longer do predictions. I'm useless. Any mojo I had has departed for greener fields. In fact, I am not even going to watch the game live, not out of protest but because I cannot bear to watch another game. Am I *****ing out? Absolutely! (but I'm a bloody optimist and will be back at the trough for another serving of hard-knocks yet).[V]

Lurker
Looks like we're without Bernier (for sure), Radzinski and Imhoff. We've got Dale Mitchell up against Sven-Goran Erikkson. (aside: I wonder if Dale read this on the plane ride down: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sven-Goran-Erikkson-Management-Eriksson/dp/1842225995) Moral appears to be at an all time low, both with the players and the supporters. Azteca or not there's going to be a hell of a lot of excited Mexicans who can't wait to see their team play (maybe for the first time being outside Azteca, sorry guys this is Tuxtla Gutiérrez not Montreal). My prediction: 4-0 Mexico Mexico comes at us hard early and scores, the rest will fall into place after that. I've been predicting Canadian victories so far, maybe common sense is setting in or I'm horribly wrong *fingers crossed*.
