Trillium
First the Voyageurs began to become a stronger supporters group .. by having to fight to get to the stadium, the blockage by hapless security guards ... making something out of nothing in the Eaton Centre, the Metro ride.. songs and chants...these are positive aspects. We also need to have stonger culture of it being the Voyageurs, of greeting each and everyo person in Voyageurs jersey when we gather. To those individuals who turned up in TFC jerseys at the Peel Pub... nuff said. Security at Saputo stadia was by and large inept driven by steriod thick necked individuals who could not read a crowd or understand the nature of the bantering, it was very very clear if you were in red jersey you were more likely to recieve abuse by the security guards and the un-uniformed Montreal police, the city of Montreal its Mayor and Police Chief should be ashamed. After the game there was some good "bonding" exercises... and of course Montreals only redeeming feature the hot Quebecoise bartender being given the dance of her life by a red shirted V. Her cheeks were a flushed crimson by the end. I sat in 117 front row and have say .. the Honduran guests were friendly and full of good bantering and support for their team, we could learn some lessons. Although I can see the calls to never play in Montreal again ....I think the real issue is that the CSA and its Quebec Master the Provincial Association ... blew the game organisation big time... why would your flag bearers be wearing the national colours of the visiting team ? So so much can be done for the game day to be so much more ours, but it seems the people being paid have no clue... Why was the bank of Montreal giving the Honduran fans blue and white noise makers ? Ah well I said always look on the bright side... each failure of the CSA in doing and event only shows how corrupt a program they are...last nights gate must have touched $300,000 dollars, you can be sure all the CSA board will be in Mexico spending that money next week.... a good trip for the blazers. Later today I will try to get some photos up ... some will be Restricted for view so the delicate eyes of Richard won't see young women celibrating their teams win. Winnipeg Fury
We are the only positive. The fans mobilized like never before. Say what you want, but 114 in Montreal looked great. If it weren't for the V's. there would have been no red. I think even the CSA would agree with that.
halfnhalf89
Its just hugely disappointing that half the crowd was Honduran supporters, maybe it would have been more pro canada if it was in toronto

The same applies to Edmonton, which would have seen less Hondurans and probably an even larger crowd. What chokes me is how fast Canada is being eliminated from qualifying the past two rounds. Throughout the 90's, we seemed to be going farther through the qualification process. Now we are being eliminated almost straight away, with not a sniff at the Hex. Toronto MB
Sort of off topic, but a positive none-the-less. As the Hondurans to our right of 114 were taunting us post-game one emotionally distraught V from Toronto made his way over to the first row and threw a Honduran cu*t over the railing. Probably dropped a good 10 feet and wondered what the fu*k had hit him.
Lord Bob
Gotta agree. This was my first game with the Voyageurs and I skipped the post-game mourning because I was too cheesed off, but still, the guys in red were a bright spot of the evening for not only me but probably just about everyone who saw us and who wasn't wearing blue. Chilled at McLeans (or something like that) for a bit with a russian canada fan, devious from RPB and God save julius james a RPB too. There was another full table of Canada fans next to us.
