Guest Can. in UK
Watching Mexico makes me realise how far behind them we are. They will destroy us. I've watched about 8 or 9 different games today (yes, it's sad), including 30 minutes of T&T v Guatemala. I had to turn it off because the standard was so poor. It just made me clue in to how weak CONCACAF is compared to Europe/Africa/South America.

Vancouversoccerman
Yes...it's good for us if Jamaica to gets pounded. Even better if we pull out Honduras tonight. Mexico's a very good team...but hopefully we'll have a shot now that they're out of Azteca. (A friend of mine said "Maybe they'll only be down to 13 men, now that they're not playing in front of the 14th & 15th man )

The Beaver
Keep in mind, Mexico is excellent and Jamaica su.cks a.ss. We did not play very well against Jamaica, and it may yet bite us in the ass. Still, we've tonight plus four more tough games to play, and with hard work and some luck, we might still get there. Big Daddy K
What else is there to say? It wasn't unexpected, so for me, the Canada loss stings much more.

We may suck but we're sitting at 1 point after 2 away games (one of which was at the Azteca) and you guys are sitting on ... wow ... is that 1 point I see? after two HOME games? Now everyone else has lost the games they were expected to lose (the away games against undisputed regional kingpins Mexico) EXCEPT O Canada which has the away fixture against Mexico waiting for it. The last Canadian home game left is also against the group's toughest team. Then, at some point, you're off to play Honduras and Jamaica in their back yards. Forget this nonsense about Canada playing six away games. If the less than ideal Canadian performances so far can be blamed on hostile crowd conditions in Toronto or Montreal do you think the situation will improve in Kingston, San Pedro Sula or Chiapas? Then why do you think they are likely to dig themselves out of this hole. Let's face it, the writing is on the wall. Canada is the team closest to being out of the running. But I'm not really posting to rub that in. Hell, by right, Jamaica should not make it either. Honduras now has three points from two away games plus a goal against Mexico in Mexico. I just found arrogant comments about another team to be unfitting given the ignominious position the Canadian team now finds itself in.
