Gotta play Hume over Radz.

Tough call, only because I wonder how good Radz will be coming off the bench . . . or is he one of those "if I'm not starting I'm not coming" guys with whom DM is playing politics?

This team likes to switch the flank midfielders/wingers from one side to the other quite often: perhaps DM feels that players like Radz and Issey are more versatile than Hume in that regard, who knows?

In the end, I thought Hume gave the team a significant lift during his appearence vs Jamaica so we should build on that.

Going out on a limb here, I call for a radical 4-4-2:

-------------Lars--------------

Stalteri-Hastings-Serioux-Klukowksi

-----Deguzman------Hutchinson--

Radz---------------------DeRosario

----------Gerba------------------

----------------Friend----------

Super-Subs:

Hume for Gerba at 55

Issey for Radz at 65

Brennan for Kluka at 65

With his hustling style of play, that's about as long as Gerba would last considering his recent club playing status. At this point I'd still prefer him as a sub.

Yeah, I noticed less midfield swapping in the Jamaica game with Bernier in for Issey. DeRo, Radz and Issey seem to have the flexibility and the chemistry to do that well.

Yet, I would think Hume wouldn't be bad doing a spell of the game on the left. He has a willingness to use his left foot and probably could play just as good a cross with it as someone like DeRo: more significantly, I could see Brennan or Klukowski providing the LB overlap option and making space for Hume to cut inside and have a go with his lethal right peg from distance, which really is his stock in trade.

Isn't it nice to have options?

I agree, especially on the ball delivery into the box. Hume can deliver and, after the lack of service Friend got in the Jamaica game, we need as many decent balls into the box as we can get.

As for that bullet right foot of Hume's, for those who haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend checking out the video from the Barnsley game last weekend: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsgQKIWWIpc
