Zenit defeat ManU to win SuperCup

Zenit beats ManU 2-1 in Monaco to win the SuperCup game between UEFA and Champion's League victors. Zenit's new transfer from Dinamo Moscow, Danny, looked like the best player on the pitch. Scholes tried a Maradonna by purposely batting a cross into the net. Would have been a nice goal had he not put it in with his hand. He got a second yellow and was sent off but it was such a blatant attempt at cheating it should have been a straight red in my opinion.

The real story is that Danny is quite the player. What a surprise, this guy I and I think many others have never heard of going to Zenit on a big transfer and showing some impressive stuff.

Anyone who has seen him more and knows him better have anything to say?

See he has been called up by Queiroz for Portugal.

ManU defended atrociously, not at the back so much, but in the middle. They ball-watched and were poorly positioned and had no way of getting the ball back from Zenit's solid passing game until the final few minutes they pushed.

Danny has played very well in the Russian Premiership for Dinamo. He transferred last week to Zenit as a possible replacement for Arshavin who looks EPL bound if anyone will offer Zenit's price. Arshavin is unhappy about how long the transfer is taking and has been screwing up team chemistry. The transfer fee for Danny was 30 million Euro and many thought Zenit overpaid for him but he certainly looked good today.

Two weeks ago my team Shinnik beat Zenit in St. Petersburg 3-1 in league play.

Here is some Grizzly math for bettermirror:

Zenit>ManU Shinnik>Zenit = Shinnik>ManU :D
