With Nana injured they will have lost 5 of the 6 main defenders, and they won't be able to use Robinson in a pinch back there this time as well. That leaves a three-man back-line of Hemming, Velez and Gala with Killian Elkinson as a possible sub (someone they wouldn't even risk using against Independiente, preferring to got with three CSL'ers). Harmse is going to have to re-discover how to play at the back methinks, although with Edu having left, Robert waived and Guevara to be missing midfield becomes a bit thin as well if you take Harmse out of there.

Time for MLSE to start making noises about the scheduling of games on WCQ dates.

Of course, this wouldn't happen if we had less internationals and more 2nd tier Canadians on the team [}:)]

Agreed, that's the standard of all teams around the world, to not have 1st tier internationals on their teams but to have as many 2nd rate players as possible...[}:)]

A typical Canadian style response to the problem but somehow I don't think it will go down too well with most fans.

I think having more players available to play is always a response that will go down well with the fans. TFC have been under-staffed player wise the whole season and we always knew this could catch up with them. How badly could TFC use a mid-level Canadian player like Pozniak right now?

However, while they should have foreseen that going with a Concacaf all-star team-type roster in a league that doesn't stop for FIFA dates was going to hurt them in this fashion, I don't think this is really the issue in this case. MLS should not be playing on WCQ dates, period. Especially when TFC earlier had a 16 day break with no games in the schedule.

Is Elkinson still with the club?

Add Jarrod Smith to the international call-up list to make it 9 players. All TFC need is to pick up a couple of suspensions on the weekend and they could soon forfeit the game on the 6th.

I thought that there was a rule whereby you could reschedule a match if more than a certain amount of players were called up.

HAHAHA! hook, line and sinker! I knew that **** would rile someone up. :D

Here's Richard looking hard for that typically non-Canadian solution to the problem:

I didn't realize the All Whites were so crap.

It's unbelievable.

Just checked the roster and he's listed. With so many changes it's been difficult to keep track, but I counted the names on the full roster and found that we're still at 25, three short of the limit. We've been at that number or lower for most of the year and I still don't understand why. That doesn't even include Monsalve, who no doubt will back up Edwards on the 6th. Even though I believe they'd all have to be dev. roster players, now would be the time to sign players to those three missing roster spots! While the rules in MLS for scheduling are indeed ridiculous, the lack of a full roster is the one area where TFC can only blame themselves. We've been harping on this the whole year, so its disappointing to see this about to bite us hard in the ass.
