Guest speedmonk42
Anyone need or want such a thing? I would be happy to set a meeting place and time downtown and take people to Bar 99. NOTE: WE ARE NO LONGER GOING TO BAR 99 Peel Pub and McLeans (next to each other on Peel Street)

Vancouver Fan
quote:Originally posted by Olgier well i think there will be one before the march before the game. Bar 99 is not in downtown. The only official Voyageurs meeting is at Bar 99 only. speedmonk is offering to take people from downtown to Bar 99 which is close to the Stade Saputo. Thanks for the offer speedmonk but I can find my way to Bar 99.

Dare431
Ill be arriving in Montreal (BERRI-UQAM) at 5:25pm. I figure I can make my way to viau alright but other than that I have no clue where I'm going, never been to Montreal. If you set up a meeting spot let me know I'd be grateful to meet up with a few Vs who know the area
Grizzly
Personally I think it is pretty easy to find Bar 99. I think it may be harder getting people to meet downtown than at Bar 99. Downtown there are a lot of bars/stores/people while Bar 99 is pretty hard to miss if you can manage to walk one block from Pie IX metro station to rue Hochelaga. Soldeed
Any idea what time the march will be at? I don't figure on leaving downtown and heading out to the stadium until about 6pm.
Grizzly
We are thinking about 6:45 pm.
Scottie
99 is literally a block and a half from Pie-IX station. I was able to find it by myself without any problems (ok i had been there with the ultras but that was from a different direction and a little drunk). matthew
I think I'll be fine to find Bar 99, but thanks for the offer. Are we doing anything the Friday night, something similar to the trip to the Maddy in Toronto? cheers, matthew

If you get to Bar 99, we are going to do a march, so don't worry about it. Lot's of people there, and if you make to bar 99, you can find the stadium. Daniel
quote:Originally posted by SportingFC Do you guys know if Bar 99 will play the TFC game at 4pm? I'd suggest watching the TFC game elsewhere, and then making your way to Bar 99.
JamboAl
I'm with Daniel on this one. The bar isn't really set up for sports (it's more like a tavern); and let's not chance the TFC-Impact rivalry "bubbling" up at a Canada match.

Just asking since alot of TFC fans are skipping the TO game to support canada in Montreal. In terms of **** bubbling up. I don't think any TFC fan is going to piss on the impacts parade. We lost the canada cup, plain and simple.

JamboAl
Daniel, can you recommend a sports bar downtown where all the TFC folks can gather before we head out to the east end? The only one I know of is Champs; close to yummy smoked meat, but is a bit off the beaten path.
