theaub
Wondering if there's any cheap bus/train deals out there. Best I can find is $55 for the bus or $85 for the train one way from Toronto.
Sam
From Kingston to Montreal for the student charge (up to age 25) the bus and train were the same price, so I took the train. I'll have to stay overnight though...

VPjr
I'm hoping to take the train but might drive. If I drive, I'll rent a van and invite travellers to join me for the ride.

Soldeed
Taking the train from Toronto. I think it was about $130 return but the cheapest fare may not be available on all departures anymore.
VPjr
I hate the drive to Montreal but if transportation to and from Montreal is a big issue, I'll give serious consideration to driving down. Maybe I can score a free weekend rental from Discount Car and Truck. Lord knows I've rented enough vehicles from them in the past for work. I'll keep you all posted. I_AM_CANADIAN
Was there ever a bus trip in the cards? That would've been way easier, not to mention more fun. It looks like I'll be taking VIA Rail down, anyway.

Although that might be different for non post-secondary students...

Toronto Ruffrider
I checked the Coach Canada site, and I didn't find anything I liked. There are plenty of options for early morning departures from Toronto, but the return trip from Montreal left something to be desired. Maybe other people have had better luck, but I couldn't find a returning bus that left Montreal earlier than 7am.
