One step forward, two steps back

She isn't the first and certainly won't be the last to shoot her mouth off like that after an emotional loss on the field. I think she should be cut some slack on this given the circumstances under which she made that offhand remark which I suspect she now rather regrets. At least it has resulted in a few more media articles about the women's program, any publicity is good publicity some would say.

^ if there was no history I'd say red flag only, but unfortunately the red flag was already up.

Post from Jeffrey on the Men's side of the board:

"If you look at Sinclair's comments when the whole Hooper debacle was in the press you'll see her idea of leadership is damn the hatches, make excuses, defend the status quo, and NOT lead in any respect at all. She is a follower, a goal-scoring follower, a fine player, but not someone to take the rest of her teammates anywhere."

Richard how your views change when its one of the family.. you howl for Hoopers blood and you defend Sinclair "cut her some slack" give me a break. She went off half cocked and it was not about her performance or her teams it was to lash out in a adolescent manner at a commentary by a soccer analyst. Pretty clear she is still locked into her believe in Pelerud, she is going to have serious emoitonal let down when she has a new coach and new person to follow.

The family is going to separate, some like Sinclair wont give up on Pelerud and her attacks on the new coach will be seen and then .. what .. will you Richard call for her dismisal just as you supported the Hooper firing ?

Funny how other allude to Sinclairs arrangement with the Program and who was brought into the Whitecaps to seal the deal as it were to have Sinclair happy in the Vancouver residency.

It will interesting to watch the next six months.. and see who really speaks up and out about the Pelerud era.

I hope you will do some digging for stories for your BC soccer web...
