Javier
I just saw the game vs Netherlands, aND our narrators and anchormen, agreed that dutch number 7 was the best dutch on the field, and the best player on the 2nd half. He alone almost got Holland 2-1 in minute 89, when assisted a mate one to one against our keeper. They both remarked that "ese Julian es un jugador barbaro" that in our argentine slang ( that is total different than the spanish that u may know) means "that Julian guy is a very complete and talented player". Also they both remarked that he was in fact CANADIAN and the brother of La Coruña star, and that he BETRAYED and REFUSED his country in order to get the orange shirt and to be part in the Olympics with Holland. They said that comment 5 or 6 times and they compared it with what new Ajax FC argie Cvitanic (CROATIA) did AND maybe Gonzalo Higuain (France) will do with Argentina. They also said that this is a normal situation with very young people that do not have CODES, "WORD" nor NATIONAL attachment for a country,(globalization), that it is a deeper issue. And How big money is changing the mind of young players and also is killing the amateur spirit of the WORLD`S GAME REGARDS MY FRIENDS FROM B.A ARGENTINA

Javier
Alejandro Fabbri, that is one of our finest narrators in soccer,he is a wikipedia of football, also remembered in 2nd half that J De Guzman was the 2nd young canadian hope that was stolen from BIGGER FOOTBALL NATIONS , and he remembered that a few years ago SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON robbed a 18 YEARS old canadian kid to the ENGLAND NATIONAL TEAM, AND NOW THAt kid was playing alongside with Carlitos Tevez at Manchester United. Owen Hargreaves. He also said that what BIGGER TEAMS are doing the last 10 years with NORTH AND SOUTH AMERICA, they used to do it with AFRICA AND the CARIBBEANs countries. He said that Kevin Kuranyi is from Panama, and was taken by Germany. David Trezeguet, from Argentina. John Barnes was jamaican, and stolen , the venezuelan kid at Barcelona now, Spain is trying to ge him spanish. Spain, Germany, Italy , England , France , Netherlands are the ones that are taking the lead. But he said that Poland , Ireland , Russia, and other countries could follow that SCOUTINGS... and even Israel could be a powerhouse if their FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION is smart enough
VPjr
JDG2 certainly was excellent for the Dutch. Too bad he chose to wear the organge. I'm sure he doesn't regret it but i have a feeling that in 10 years, he might
DigzTFC
The one thing I find ironic is that Julian has talked about them ending their career at TFC. I've even heard Hargraeves wanted to come back to Canada one day. Do these guys think they'll be forgiven? Look at TFC supporters. These aren't soccer moms that don't know the history. They will know who he is and what he has done. No one will want them in a TFC jersey. No one.

Kuranyi was born and raised in Brazil to a German father and Panamanian mother and moved to Germany when he was 15. He was never going to play for Brazil so it is hard to have much problem with him playing for Germany. He was eligible for Panama as well but I don't think he ever lived there. Trezeguet was born in France, moved to Argentina at age 2 and moved back to France at 17. Probably should have played for Argentina but not completely unjustified playing for France either. Barnes was born in Jamaica but moved to England at a young age. I think there are enough far more clear and blatant examples that he didn't bolster his argument by using these ones.
