This shows, as to what many have stated in the press, that the St. Louis bid is weak as a result that their are still NO serious investors in the US who are willing to get involved with this bid. ------------------------------------------------ EXPANSION: St Louis Looks Abroad for Big Money Investors Sunday, August 3, 2008 It looks like Jeff Cooper and St. Louis United are headed to the birthplace of football to scare up some £££'s for the St Louis expansion bid. Jeff Cooper's effort to bring Major League Soccer to St. Louis took him this week to London, where he met with several interested parties who are involved in pro soccer in the UK. ... Former MICDS baseball standout Matt Kramer, a catcher, was recently signed by the Atlanta Braves. He was assigned to their Class A affiliate (Rome) in the South Atlantic League. The Harvard grad had been playing for the Harlingen (Tex.) franchise in the United Baseball League.
