I dont get it.

There was no TV coverage of the St. Vincent vs. Canada match, only audio commentary from the St. Vincent radio stations. STAR FM had some (unintentionally) rather humorous adverts that they kept playing (even occasionally during the match), one of which was the Phillip's Bakery advert. During the match, there were several dozen Vees in an online chat, and many of us were "taking the piss" out of the ads, particularly the Phillip's Bakery ad.

One of those cult Voyageurs jokes - much like the cucumbers, I suppose.

Awesome. We need to write a chant about Phillip's Bakery!

Phillip's Bakery,

Lower Middle Street,

It's near the Library,

So get on your feet,

A step above,

But we don't know above what,

Maybe that bakery,

In St. Lucia.

As long as it is a positive one and not making fun of the place. It was their sponsorship after all that made it possible for many of us to listen to the game commentary.

You should try writing comedy sometime.

Yes thank-God for Richard, defender of oppressed bakeries the world over. Please contribute generously to his organization WOABAR (World Organization for the Advancement of Bakery Rights). Donations can be made down by the library.

lol. Us posting here about Philips Bakery has paid for their advertising 100 fold... Think about it that way.

edit: In fact if you do a search on Google for Phillip's Bakery St. Vincent the Voyageurs come up in the top 5. lol

(I removed the photo to save some bandwidth)

LOL at the photo.

I bet when Richard was a kid, he tried to get all the other kids in his schoolyard to line up properly when the bell rang.

Stement of the obvious is very necessary for some of the people who inhabit this forum, subtlety and implication goes right over their heads. And how do you know I don't write comedy? ;)

Statement of the obvious is very necessary for some of the people who inhabit this forum, as they have amply illustrated already with their posts. And as for schoolyards, this place bears an uncanny resemblance to a middleschool schoolyard at times.
