Trident
quote:Originally posted by Daniel The country name, the leaf, the ball. That's all that needs to be said. I could deal without our recent trend of splitting whatever is used in the sport we play: Soccer: Ball is split with a leaf Hockey: Leaf is split with a player Curling: House is split with a leaf Fencing: Epee's split with a leaf. I would like something like the FAI, with a maple leaf. Or anything more stylized than our current one.:

Tuscan
I like these jerseys, and plan to pick up the home solid red on next month's paycheck. Not sure who I'm going to have put on the back, I've been thinking either de Guzman or Gerba.
KidCanada
quote:Originally posted by RamR I like the Lion too... maybe kicking a ball. Not fond of the crown though... so maybe without it. The shield by itself might be good as well. I actually like the Diadora shirts as well. http://www.soccer.com/Images/Catalog/ProductImages/600/145378.RE23.JPG
KidCanada
what about having that crazy lion on top of the shield???
Tintin
A crest or arms looks too busy? So, 99% of all football kits look too busy because of the crest?
Tintin
Something else to complain about: I wish the men's team would play wear red/white/red or white/red/white (shirts/shorts/socks) the way the women do. Montréal wears all blue or (YUCK!) all black (from what I've seen of them) Toronto is all red and Vancouver is all blue or all white. I just like a bit of contrast. Soju
^ Wore white/red/red against Venezuela (friendly) and against CR in the last Gold Cup. I like the contrast of the white tops/red shorts I think it's much better.
mjoni
We should at least have something unique, right now it looks like they bought all the generic red jersies at the local sports store.
capsfutbol
Just noticed today, that Jens Lehmann, the German goalie wears an Adidas jersey that has polka dots under the arms, just like Canada's. I don't mind it that much.
Tintin
If a few polka dots under the arms are all that's bothering us, we've come a long way since the nightmare Score kits we had. I think the team wore those in the 8 - 0 during the Lenarducci-boot-it-up-the-park-as-soon-as-you-can-get-your-toe-near-it era.
