It's nearby the hotel. Here's Expedia:

"What to expect: Surrounded by golf courses and various corporate headquarters, Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites attracts business travelers as well as vacationers visiting Sawgrass Mills, a vast collection of more than 400 shops and outlet stores as well as nationally known restaurants. Adjacent to a professional-quality soccer field, it also attracts international teams for training."

It's basically right next to it. I (and a handful of other V's) got the chance to attend a team practice there during the 2002 Gold Cup.

Watched a bit of the USA Spain game and USA barely even sniffed the ball. Finished 1-0 Spain I believe and US did'nt look dangerous at all really was just chasing the Spanish side around the whole game.

On the goal one player walked through about 4 US players and beat the keeper.

^ I raced home from work and watched the 2nd half. USA barely retained possession the entire half. Xavi took the pass, turned and ran right at and past Onyewu and Boca(?) and made them look like fire hydrants, then shielded off Hejduk and slotted into the corner of the net from 8 yards. The Spanish midfield consistently cut passes through the middle of the American midfield into space in front of the US back four. The US has serious work to do...if you're a betting man take Argentina on Sunday.

The Associated Press

SUNRISE, Fla.–Ante Jazic's goal with 8 minutes remaining in regulation helped Canada earn a 2-2 tie against Panama in a friendly Wednesday afternoon.

Jazic, a midfielder with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer, received a centring pass from Tam Nsaliwa and converted an 8-yard shot which bounced inside the left post.

Panama took a 2-1 lead on Jose Luis Garces' goal in the 48th minute. Juan Perez's cross from the right wing found Garces near the far post, where he beat the Canadian goalkeeper with a 10-yard shot.

Canada opened the scoring when Jamie Peters scored in the 33rd minute. Peters won a scramble for the ball near the 6-yard box and headed in Patrice Bernier's free kick from the right wing.

Panama tied it 9 minutes later on Luis Tejada's penalty kick.

The CONCACAF teams used the match as a prelude to regional World Cup qualifiers later in the month.

Canada will play the first leg on the road of a home-and-home set against St. Vincent June 15, the same date Panama will host El Salvador in a similar home-and-home set.

There's pics on the wire and a confirmation of the final score. I'd think a story will move soon. We were wearing white with black trim and the pics were of Sutton (making what looked to be a nice save), Friend and Jazic. And as I type a pic of Peters being congratulated by Issey for his goal is there. They ID No. 2 as Nsaliwa, but it's clearly De Jong.

So I'm assuming the Goalzz roster is right. Which also makes me think that Peters started and the CSA roster is wrong. Maybe?

cheers,

matthew
