Posted this in the Can/Bra post match thread....Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Reliable sources tell me that JDG is to miss the next 2 games vs. Panama and the first Leg against St. Vincent.....I was hoping it wasn't true, but straight from the horses mouth.....

Got a message from him on my wall on facebook stating....

"Thanks a lot man. Gonna miss out on the Panama game and the St.Vincents first game due to injury. Hope to be back for the MTL game.

Hope ur good and can't wait for qualifiers ..."

He didn't looked injured when he left the game, I'm surprise.

Is it reliable 100%??

I will try to post a screen shot of my facebook page if necessary......he is on my friends list...I have conversed with him before....not trying to say we are bros or anything...but it is for sure him.....so I say it is 100% reliable....

He took a knock in the second half, not too long after the back pass fiasco. Sort of thought he hurt his knee. I hope it isn't his knee.

Well, if he had to miss two games, the next two are probably the best ones to miss.

Get well, Jules.

Hard to top Jazic considering the circumstances: A crucial WCQ game we were winning 1-0...

But a backpass to Robhino of all people? Not that any Brazilian can't convert a breakaway but that would be the last person on the Brazilian team anyone would want to give away the ball to.

I hope JDG isn't seriously hurt and recovers quickly. Going to miss him big time as he is one of the main threats out there for us and a heluva lot of fun to watch.

Not to make any excuses on behalf of JDG, but perhaps his back pass to Robinho was aided by the turf. Had the pitch consisted of living natural grass, the ball would've played faster and perhaps have just missed Robinho. Good pitch or not, here's hoping that none of our boys pull a gaffe like that again.

Has this been confirmed yet?

Nothing confirmed from the CSA or anything....all I/We have to go on is what he wrote me on my facebook wall......don't shoot the messenger.....I really am not trying to cause havoc...just thought it would be good to share with all seeing that it was coming from Julian himself....

Confirmed by himself as both knee and achilles problems. Yikes. God bless on a quick recovery. Although, jpg's assessment aside, surely we can get by the cabana boys without Jules (or in fact anybody who started on Saturday).

I know everyone is slamming him for the backpass but i still think it was partially Serioux's fault...he wasn';t paying attention and let it go a mile past hime - to Robinho who was paying attention and had moved on to it. Sure, an errant pass, but an attentive defender mops that up and there's no issue.

Yeah Jazic's is the worst ever because it was so costly. It's rumored there is a small tribe of Hondurans living deep inside the cloud forest who still worship him.

Nominated - Post of the Year! :D

The only real problem with JDG missing the next couple of games is that it reduces the amount of playing time he will have with the other starters like DeRo and Attiba before the real challenges of WCQ arrive. Given the chemistry at the GC and this friendly, however, I'm not too worried.

I'm not saying we won't beat St. VAG, i just don't think it's going to be as easy as thumping Belize was. I'm predicting 1-0 in St. VAG and 3-0 in Montreal.

I saw a bit of video of SVG last year. DO NOT underestimate these guys... they've got speed and skill and flair, and they will definitely neither fear nor even respect the professional status of our players... especially in their home game. Honestly, I will be quite happy with a scoreless draw in SVG, and then come home, score early, and kill the game off.

I agree. A draw or 1-0 win is probable. Don't forget the heat,

humidity, and the reliable CONCACAF officiating. ("Archun....")

Hi Ageroo, nice to see you over at this board. I'm pretty sure no one's "shooting the messenger" here, it's just that we've had a lot of people in the past log on here and pretend to be in the know, and they turned out to be full of horse feathers! Assuming you're the Ageroo from RPB (and TrophyManager) then I know for sure you're a straight shooter. Since you haven't posted here often, some of the regulars who don't live in Toronto might not know you.

I had no idea you communicated with Julian... did you guys play in the same leagues growing up or anything? On the other hand, Julian seems like a genuinely nice guy who doesn't let his status go to his head... he even sent me an email awhile back... and he doesn't know me from a hole in the ground. Best wishes to Julian on a speedy recovery!
